I know I already mentioned it on the blip page.. but it's worth saying and sharing again. Write some notes, come up with a standard intro and it's all gravy.

When I started trying to "host" my show, I practically would write out what I wanted say... Mind you they were all audio episodes so I could look at the sheet. But as I got more into it, and standardized how I would start and end an episode, it got easier to improvise.

Take 15 or 20 mins... write out your notes.... even have them on a clipboard and look at them while you're recording. or tape a piece of paper right beside the camera with "cue card" pointers... As you do it more often, the process gets easier and you'll save yourself a TON of time infront of the camera which means you'll be fresh alert and excited, because you haven't been sitting there for 30+ mins.

But good for you for slogging through it and getting the show.

Also... keep a tall glass of water around.. I find after doing take after take it's always good to have a drink and relax.. it makes it easier to come back to it full on and excited. All that high energy stuff that ppl see when they watch the show.
