MAKING content is key, because it gives frames of reference for what you focus on or are interested in or how your life goes in general. It's the 'making' that allows people to check you out and decide if they want to dive deeper, subscribe, or even agree to disagree with your content or your viewpoints. It's totally different from meeting someone, knowing absolutely nothing about them and taking random shots in the dark at conversation, or talking about stuff that's interesting to you but probably not so much to them. I just met Lan & Bonny, and amongst other things, we discussed <a href="http://www.videoofthemoment.com/2007/06/pixelodeon-2007-picture-video.html" rel="nofollow">Lan's picture-videos</a>, <a href="http://noodlescar.com/daily/2007/10/11/the-misunderstanding-blues-on-the-internets/" rel="nofollow">Bonny's improv blues singing</a>, <a href="http://noodlescar.com/" rel="nofollow">NoodleScar Daily</a> and <a href="http://vlogdeathmatch.blogspot.com/2007/05/bill-cammack-vlog-deathmatch-promo.html" rel="nofollow">Vlog Deathmatch</a>. Without the MAKING of media, those points of interest wouldn't have been out there on the net for people to see, enjoy and find common ground upon. I think the way we experience the web is still really uncommon. Facebook is a diluted experience of what bloggers have created. Over the last 5 years, my world has exploded with relationships and events. The web is a tool for navigating real life...especially if you MAKE content. good story about how it started for you.
