hahaha Thanks, man. :) The book thing's definitely in the works..

Right now, I'm concentrating on music, but I'm definitely looking forward to the challenge of writing fiction. As you can tell, I can write about FACTS indefinitely, hehe.

Yeah man. it was a total fluke. That's one of the reasons I never make plans. There's no telling what's going to come up "the day of" that's better than what I was offered last week.

That goes for business OR socializing. If your budget supports my day rate, we can block out space for your project. If it doesn't, then unless I decide to confirm anyway, you're "on hold", and you might get bumped for a different client. C'est La Vie! :D

Socially, there have been parties I never made it to because someone offered me a better time ten minutes before I was supposed to walk out the door. C'est La Vie! :D I'm not getting PAID to go to the party, so I'll be there or I won't. I'll be there early, late or not at all, and you may or may not receive a text saying I changed plans and you may or may not receive a text back if you try to contact me, because I'm doing something else and don't feel like bothering with my phone.

And it's true what you said... It's always the weekend in NYC. It's the weekend for SOMEBODY that doesn't have to work tomorrow and is down to have a good time until the break-day-light! hahaha. It's the weekend for somebody that DOES have to work tomorrow and is having such a good time that they're willing to go to work "tired than a mug" or call in sick! :D

The problem with unofficial bouncers is that they register to me as unstable. Official bouncers register to me as mercenaries.

That's fine by me, because I go out to drink brews and hang out with chicks. If someone wants to start a problem, I fully expect the mercs to handle their business. If it's ME starting the problem, hahaha I fully expect to be thrown out for the good of the people inside who are there just to have a good time with each other.

What you DON'T want is that because someone's friends with the ex-con bouncer, they feel like they can dis people in the bar, because they know that while they're getting their ass kicked, their boy's going to run over and join in ON THEIR SIDE, not neutrally trying to break up the fight like he's supposed to.

What you DON'T want is this guy calling up friends of his and saying non-regulars are at the bar.

What you DON'T want is that if you have to figure out a safe way to leave, this guy's like "you're on your own", because it's not worth his $100 in cash for the night to get mixed up in your problem that happened in a location that HE'S supposed to be 'the law' in.

What you DON'T WANT is exactly what happened to us that right after we were told it was "last call", this guy got upset at one of our friends and kicked us ALL out of a bar that he clearly doesn't own himself, HOURS before other bars on the same street were closing. The point of "last call" is that we're not going to serve you ANY MORE alcohol from now on, so for the next bunch of hours, you're going to be drinkless or you can get out. People should actually have asked for refunds on their beers that they bought (which I didn't, because I didn't like the place from the get, so I was drinking my one beer the whole time).

So I have full respect for the concept of hiring people to keep order in establishments. Sometimes, it's completely necessary to feel like regardless of how many people someone brought to this club, there are just as many bouncers if something jumps off. I'm saying that if you don't go through some sort of channels of checks & balances to make sure your bouncer's vouched for by some agency, you might get some unstable freak that's also on steroids and just found out his girl's givin' it up to the next man and decides to take his bad attitude out on your customers, which is going to be bad news for everyone involved.

Bar hopped. Met up with friends. Caught up with new ones. I would say that your day "...was a very good day..." Unless you live here in the N.Y.C you have no idea how simple it is to not have to plan your nights around a Friday or Saturday! Its Friday and Saturday every night if you want it to be. lol (Yeah them low budget bouncers are def a PAIN in the ASS. You can either ignore them and have them feeling themselves or you can react and have your night potentially end early! I dont mind the official type dudes but its them "he was the next best thing available" ones that drive me nuts!)
