Politics Without Personality

Your time will be better spent making yourself the person you claim to be instead of claiming to be the person you will never be.

As you’re aware, I was studying losers last year -> BillCammack.com/tag/loser-society/.

That’s over now, but I wanted to discuss a situation where I feel that people are damaging themselves under the guise of affirming their beliefs. Continue reading “Politics Without Personality”

“King’s War” Commentary

A highly-fictionalized account of the fall of the Qin dynasty and the founding of the Han dynasty.

ok.. I just watched this insanely-long television series called “King’s War” or “Legend of Chu and Han”.

I’m sure it’s **EXTREMELY** fictionalized, 😀 but it explains the fall of the Qin dynasty and the founding of the Han dynasty.

The budget for this thing had to be a gazillion dollars because there are 80 episodes that are 45 minutes each, which makes sense for a television show because that’s an hour minus commercials.

Basically, the point they were making is that people can’t get along. 😀 Continue reading ““King’s War” Commentary”

The Rings Of Conversational Hades

Some people just can’t stay quiet long enough for you to tell them the information they’re supposed to be commenting on.

I know people whose brains work in a strange way where they love to… In fact, I think they CAN NOT HELP nitpicking your sentences because their worldview is more important to…. Because their worldview naturally overrides in their brain what you’re trying to tell them.

They just can’t listen and STFU until you get your entire point across.

This means that you either have to keep stopping your sentence to accommodate their worldview to their satisfaction, or you just ignore what they said and keep talking about what you wanted to tell them.

Keeping stopping is annoying and worthless and the constant interruptions are badgering and mental.

Ignoring them causes them to get mad that you’re ignoring them and keep asking you about the same nonsense until you don’t want to talk to them at all and don’t give a damn about offering them the education they would have gotten if they knew how to have a damned conversation. Considering The Concept Of “Toxic Masculinity”

Whether masculinity is “toxic” or not does not depend on one’s innate strength of character, but rather the vector upon which it is applied.

Readers Charles & Kimbell recently pointed out the concept of “Toxic Masculinity” to me.

I had heard the term before, but didn’t bother to research it because I figured it was just another one of these dumb things people make up attempting to explain situations they don’t understand.

I was right. 😀

According to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxic_masculinity:

The concept of toxic masculinity is used in the social sciences to describe traditional norms of behavior among men in contemporary American and European society that are associated with detrimental social and psychological effects. Such “toxic” masculine norms include dominance, devaluation of women, extreme self-reliance, and the suppression of emotions.

Conformity with certain traits viewed as traditionally male…

ok. 😀 We’re going to stop the definition right there.

This is the problem with the concept of Toxic Masculinity.

It only applies to people who are “conforming with certain traits viewed as traditionally male”.

What I mean by that is that if you have to act like a man, that means you aren’t one. o_O

Does that make sense?… If you have to act tough, that means you aren’t tough.

Dogs that bark a lot are often trying to scare you away because they don’t actually want to fight you.

Meanwhile, actual tough guys aren’t going to tell you what’s going to happen to you, you’re just going to get your block knocked off and get left there bleeding in the street.

So if you have to CONFORM with certain traits, that means you don’t naturally possess those traits and you are in fact an actor. Continue reading “Considering The Concept Of “Toxic Masculinity””
