2012 Iowa Caucus Results

Posted by Bill Cammack On January - 4 - 2012

Here are the reported Iowa Caucus results:

Romney: 30,015 votes (25%)
Santorum: 30,007 votes (25%)
Paul: 26,219 votes (21%)
Gingrich: 16,251 votes (13%)
Perry: 12,604 votes (10%)
Bachmann: 6,073 votes (05%)
Huntsman: 745 votes (01%)
Cain: 58 votes (I heard a Fox News broadcaster mention this, but haven’t seen it in a chart)

What Had Happened Was…

I had predicted Paul, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, Bachmann, Huntsman, Cain, so the top 4 got jumbled and the bottom four were correct.

Cain was going to be last, because he’s out of the race now, but he had qualified for Iowa before he dropped out. Read the rest of this entry »

Asking Women Out On Dates

Posted by Bill Cammack On January - 3 - 2012

I’ve had a couple of interesting conversations recently on the topic of men inviting women out for dates. Perhaps this is an indication that I should reevaluate the situation.

The way I see it, there’s no point in “asking a chick out”, unless a) you intend to hit it ASAP, or b) you’re looking for an actual girlfriend and you’re considering her for the job opening. Read the rest of this entry »

2012 Republican Iowa Predictions

Posted by Bill Cammack On December - 31 - 2011

My most recent opinion about the Republican candidates was that we were going to see a Brokered Convention this cycle, because nobody was going to get enough votes to actually win. Having now seen more of how the system works, I’ve changed my mind.

The reason I figured it might be a close race was because Gingrich had just been sanctioned by a Christian group. We know that Romney, as a Mormon, won’t be getting many votes in the South. I figured that if Gingrich could make it to the South without being too far behind, he could catch up to Romney at that point.

Unfortunately for Gingrich, he became a frontrunner when Cain dropped out of the race so nobody would delve any more into the story about that chick whose rent he had been paying without telling his wife, and that he supposedly wasn’t having sex with. Read the rest of this entry »

Appearance Of Bias

Posted by Bill Cammack On December - 22 - 2011

Reader “Sam” accused me of being biased on a topic. I think bias is worth discussing.

Of course, we’re all biased because of our personal experiences in life, how we grew up, who we were born to, everything that happens to us shapes our opinions.

There’s a difference between that and not being able or even WILLING to think about things from both sides of the situation. Read the rest of this entry »

You’re Still Not Me

Oh, Life..
Is bigger..
It’s bigger than you.
And you are not me.

Back in the day, when I used to play the relationship game, I had a few girlfriends..

simultaneously..

I didn’t think anything of it at the time. It’s easy to have multiple girlfriends by not giving them what they want.

Females have this strange ability to really, really, REALLY want to physically hook up with you, but to find mentally-based excuses to withhold things from you that you never asked them for.. like fidelity. Read the rest of this entry »

Brokered Conventions

Send In The Clowns

I told you from the beginning that this cycle’s selection of Republican candidates is an absolute clown show, to put it kindly.

I also asked two main questions. The first one was “Where are the broke (poor) Republicans?”. The second was “How come none of the better Republicans (Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, etc) want to run, if they think it’s going to be so easy to defeat President Obama in 2012?”.

I was previously done talking about this tomfoolery, but the last few days, the pundits have been talking about something they hadn’t mentioned this entire time… Read the rest of this entry »

Platonic Relationships

Platonic Relationships

Here’s a fun video about why men and women can’t be “just friends”:

Granted.. It’s easy to skew a video like this by asking 100 gals and 100 guys if they believe men and women can be “just friends” and then only airing the responses from the gals that say “Yes” and the guys that say “No”.

Regardless, I think the video points out something interesting about so-called “Platonic Relationships”. Read the rest of this entry »

How To Deny Allegations

Posted by Bill Cammack On December - 5 - 2011

I was in Brooklyn Friday night. That means that I wasn’t in, say.. Zimbabwe, Africa.

If someone hires Gloria Allred to say “Bill Cammack was in Zimbabwe Friday night! :O”, I’ll probably ignore it completely.

If I elect to speak on it, I’m going to say “No.. In fact, I was not in Zimbabwe Friday night.”, and that’s going to be the end of it.

The truth of the matter is my “defense”. I don’t have to get personal about it. Read the rest of this entry »

Why Consensual Affairs Are More Damaging Than Sexual Harassment

Posted by Bill Cammack On November - 30 - 2011

Rachel Maddow wanted to know what the logic was behind Mike Huckabee saying the following about Herman Cain’s latest problem:

“Greta, It’s a serious charge.

The allegation is one that could upend his Presidential campaign, and I think the reaction that he’s had to it, when he said that, unlike the harassment charges, which he denied, he said this was a private matter.

In essence, he may have given an answer that will be very difficult for him to work himself out of.

I think this is the most damaging allegation that has been made to date, no question about it.”

It’s really very simple and obvious, but it requires an accurate grasp on reality to figure out. Read the rest of this entry »

Something About Women That Is Not Crazy

Posted by Bill Cammack On November - 27 - 2011

Reader Eryka asked me if, in honor of her birthday, I could write something about women that is *NOT* crazy. I will attempt to do so right now, however, I won’t know until the end of this post whether I succeeded or not. o_O

Moving On

So.. Last night, I’m watching this “reality” show, right? And this group of women are friends with each other in that loosely-knit “I’m cool with you until you do or say the SLIIIIIIGHTEST thing that I don’t like, and then it’s ON AND POPPIN’” kind of “friendship”.. I don’t think they qualify as Frenemies, but they’re something close to that. Read the rest of this entry »

Done With Politics

Posted by Bill Cammack On November - 24 - 2011

I know most of y’all tune in to BillCammack.com to listen to me talk yang about women & dating, but I’ve been preoccupied recently with the clown show known as United States Politics.

I’m over it now, so we’ll be returning to our regularly-scheduled programming.. joined in progress.

What had HAPPENED was…

Why Did I Bother?

Videoblogging & Vanity

Posted by Bill Cammack On November - 20 - 2011

My friend Matt asked me a question the other day, regarding videoblogging and vanity. [Click Here to read the Google+ conversation.]

His question reminded me of the line you have to walk.. assuming that you want to be involved in social media at all.. between being too souped up over yourself and not souped up enough… “Souped Up” being a slang term for thinking that you’re a great person.

Basically, the question comes down to “Who cares what *YOU* have to say? o_O”, which is followed by who cares who cares what I have to say, which leads you down the spiral of vanity. Read the rest of this entry »
