It’s currently 5:45 am and I’m writing a blog post. “Why is that? o_O” you might ask. It’s because I just woke up and my mind is CRISP!!! >:D .. Firing on all cylinders. Ready For Action.. Kickin’ Ass and Takin’ Names.

I had this conversation with my friend Jeff the other day. He was saying that it takes him a long time to get started once he wakes up, but as time goes on, he gets more and more productive, until it gets to the point where he doesn’t want to go to sleep because his brain is working so well and he’s getting so much done.

Of course.. That’s probably why it’s tough for him to put it together when he wakes up.. Because his mental activity and productivity overrides some sort of natural sleep initiative, and he ends up sleeping at the wrong times (for his own personal body cycles).

Meanwhile.. When The Kid wakes up, I start out mentally “so fresh and so clean, clean”, and “ain’t nobody dope as me! >:D”

I can do practically *ANYTHING* when I first wake up, and my powers diminish as the day goes on, and eventually, I can feel the slowdown.. The sluggishness.. I can feel that I’m not getting as much productivity out of my mind as I was getting before, and eventually, I shut ‘er down and deliberately conk out.

I have techniques to avoid going to sleep if I need to press on and get something done, but for the most part, once I start losing it, I hit the deck so I can reset the system and make it happen a few hours from now, fully recharged and ready for action.

This is one of the reasons (besides detesting the taste) that I don’t drink coffee and laugh my ass off at how many people are addicted to coffee but refuse to consider it a national epidemic.

Productivity

I don’t need to drink coffee because if I’m awake, it’s because I’m *SUPPOSED TO BE AWAKE*, Capisce? >:D

I don’t need stimulants to trick my system into doing things it’s not supposed to be doing, because when I wake up, it’s because my body’s ready to make incredible things happen.

I also don’t use alarms, unless I agreed to physically show up at a client’s site to work at a certain time.

I sleep when I sleep, and I wake up when I wake up, and that’s how my life works.

Having said that.. I drink beer. I drink a lot of beer.

Being buzzed helps me not feel bored with life. Not being bored helps me focus on what I’m trying to accomplish today.

Of course, people are going to complain that my beer use rivals the masses’ coffee use! :P

I agree and disagree. When I wake up, I’m automatically in the game. You can’t stop me as soon as my eyes open. I’m virtually invincible.

If you need to drink coffee to start your body up, you’re dead in the water if you can’t get coffee. o_O

Put us in the exact same situation and remove beer and coffee, and I wake up and kick your ass for hours before you’re even able to function at 75% of your potential.

As the day drags on, you get mentally stronger and I get mentally weaker, but I have tricks to keep myself in the game, so all you can do is catch up to me, not surpass me, and you can’t pass me to the degree that you EVAR make up the head start I got on you by being CRISP right out of the gate.

Pretty much, every day, I accomplish twice what you accomplish, because I roll with how my body works, and I’m productive when I’m supposed to be productive and I shut ‘er down when my body’s not doing what I need it to do to be who I am.

Scheduling

I wanted to talk about this because I’ve been doing some on-site work recently, and I’m having a really great time, doing great work with great people. :)

Actually, to give context, what I do is I’m a video editor, social media guru, dating coach, music mixer, etc etc, but let’s focus on the video part..

Primarily, what I do as a video editor is I receive projects and footage from clients over the internet, work on the projects when I’m fully-functioning, preview the work for them over iChat Theater or Skype, then either send them the finished product or post it to the web for them, depending on their desired outcome.

This means that right now, instead of writing a blog post at 6 am, I could be doing work and billing a client for the time I’m spending on his or her project.

In fact, I have a drive right here right now containing video I’m going to be working on after I finish my on-site gig in a couple of weeks.

The obvious difference being that I can’t do anything right now about my current project, because a) The producers I’m working with are asleep right now, and b) the drives are at their offices, so I couldn’t work on them right now even if I felt like it.

So.. The reason I wanted to talk about this is that I can currently feel the inefficiency of work that’s scheduled during “office hours” instead of work that’s done whenever I’m fully engaged, prepared and focused.

I would be *CRUSHING* my clients’ projects right now if I had access to them and we had agreed to middle-of-the-night/morning billing. >:D

We would have started on Monday (It’s Sunday morning right now) a day ahead of where we currently are, because I would have applied my personal “work hours” of extreme productivity and interest to putting their videos together.

I think it’s very important for people to recognize / realize how their bodies and minds function when they endeavor to create a business strategy for themselves.

For instance, it’s 6:30 am right now here in New York City, New York, USA, which means it’s around lunchtime in the UK. While I’m waiting for Americans to wake up, I’m brainstorming and collaborating with people in the full swing of their day in England or France, like this video I created with Phil Campbell for The Charity Shop in Nottingham, UK:

Get Busy!

Especially with the American economy being what it is at this point, it’s in everyone’s best interests to maximize their productivity.

Trying to fit your square peg into the round hole of 9-5′ing may very well lead to drastically negative consequences for you and your family.

If you consistently do your best work after 7pm, get a job that begins at 7pm.

Better than that.. If you have good and bad times that are sporadically dispersed throughout the day, do work where you have a definite deadline and definite objectives, but it’s left up to you which times you actually work on the project.

Of course, I realize that what I’m talking about only applies to specialized vocations that you can actually perform in a flex-time environment where you make up your own work hours.

If your job is putting a door on a car, you have to do that while the plant’s open, so you don’t have any options as far as the timing of your day.

However.. With the extremely high rates of American unemployment in October 2011, this is the perfect opportunity for people to reinvent themselves.

Think outside of the box. Push aside what people told you and figure out what works FOR YOU. Drink your beer or drink your coffee. Work when you wake up or when you should be going to sleep. Work in-person with people or over the net. Work with people in your country or abroad. Be a “Jack of all trades” or a “Master of one”. Lock down a wife / husband or stay single.

What worked for the previous generation isn’t going to work now. Nobody’s getting that gold retirement watch when they’re 65 years old and have worked for the same company since they were 35 years old.

Reinvent yourself. Make a new plan. Play to your personal strengths. Figure out a new way to forge a path forward for yourself and your family.

Figure out how to maximize your personal potential and MAKE. IT. HAPPEN!!! >:D

So I thought this was blatantly obvious, but let me get into it right quick, one time for the people. :D

Reasons

Men date because they want to have a good time and hook up with hawt chicks. Yes.. There are some guys that are looking for an exclusive girlfriend and some guys that are looking for one gal to have kids with and to marry and yadda yadda.

For the most part, guys are adding something to their lives that they want but they don’t necessarily need.

Meanwhile, women date because they want to secure a guy that’s going to make their life worth living. The common term is something like “I could do BAD on my own! :/”. The indication here is that adding a guy into her life is supposed to make it significantly better, or why should she be involved with him at all? o_O

I mean.. Not only is he supposed to listen to how her day was, but he’s supposed to tap that proppah AND bring her PIZZA to boot! :O .. I mean, C’MON, SUNN!!! :/ What’s *SHE* supposed to be doing while this dude’s doing EVERYTHING in the relationship?

Anyway… Because guys and gals have different reasons for dating, guys have an increasingly significant advantage on the dating scene as we get older.

Money

Supposedly, the older you get, the more money you have. The more money you have, the easier it is to pull chicks, because you can live in the fly house or own the yacht or sportscar or the fancy clothes, watches, jewelry, whatever that gets females to flock to you to attempt to use you for your money and give up sex in the process. Done Deal! :D

Meanwhile, having more money does women NO GOOD, WHATSOEVER! :D hehe Nobody cares if y’all have money or not. We care if we feel turned on by being around you. Your best bet is to use your money for Gym subscriptions and keep that body in shape where we feel like tappin’ that.

Other than that, if you’re rich as hell and you look busted, you’re not going to get the first look at the bar. It’s just not gonna happen. \o/

So guys get an advantage in dating the more money we have. Women do not.

Looks

Guys select women by looks. Don’t be fooled. Yes, it’s true that I believe that PERSONALITY is the deciding factor if a guy’s going to get into a LTR with a gal, but the fact of the matter is that if he doesn’t feel like looking at you, he’s not going to approach you in the first place to find out what your personality’s like.

Meanwhile… Women select men based on emotional and support issues. The guy still has to look DECENT in order for her to give him a shot, but an unattractive guy that has a mansion and a yacht will STILL be able to pull some sort of gold-digger female to share his wealth with him in exchange for hooking him up with “Happy Endings”.

The ability to look good decreases as people age. The ability to emotionally and financially support someone does not. Once again, guys have an advantage as we age because we become in demand by MORE females while the women become in demand by FEWER males.

Personality

Guys and gals get over with poor personalities when we’re young because everybody’s trying to get something from the other person and we’re willing to endure wack personalities as long as we can in order to receive the benefits from spending time with them.

This doesn’t work out so well for women as they age, for the reasons stated above. The more y’all’s looks diminish, the less guys are willing to put up with crabby attitudes. The ROI just isn’t there. :D It’s better to either spend time with a different mediocre-looking chick that’s a nice person and fun to hang out with or meet a different crabby chick that’s hawt to death and we don’t mind how much of a JERK she is because we enjoy hooking up with her.

Meanwhile.. If a guy’s personality isn’t top-of-the-line but he knows how to offer women emotional and/or financial support, he’s never going to run out of women. In fact, it actually gets EASIER for guys to pull women if they’re seen as Sugar Daddies or marks that can be utilized for a payday. If you’re willing to play that role, you can be as old as you like and have a harem.. Ask Hugh Hefner.

Career

One of the worst problems for aging women is that they are brainwashed to date guys that have better careers than they do.

How many times have you heard some chick say she’d only date a guy that makes more money than she does? o_O

Now.. Think about how many times you’ve heard a guy say ANYTHING about a gal’s career that he’s dating……. Yeah.. Probably Never. That’s because nobody cares.

The guys that care about a woman’s career are looking for a payday. I mean, imagine going to a bar, meeting a FOYINE-ASS CHICK, kickin’ it with her for 20 minutes and then asking her what she does and she says she flips burgers at McDonald’s and then you’re like “WHAT??? :O .. AW HELLZ NAW!!!.. I can’t date *YOU*!!! :/”.

hahaha It’s not going to happen. Nobody cares. Her function is to look good and be a turn-on, not pay for stuff. If she can kick in ducats, fine. If she can’t?… FINE! :D

As people age and progress in their careers, this is going to make things harder for women and easier for men. Guys get richer and more prestigious and become even MORE ATTRACTIVE to women. SImultaneously.. Women get richer and more prestigious and raise the bar for guys that they’re willing to date, since they want to date guys that are doing better than they are.

The obvious problem with this is that the guys that are doing better than women with impressive careers aren’t looking for women with impressive careers. They’re looking for attractive chicks that are DSS or DTF.

The older guys get, the more DTF chicks are available to them. They make more every year. :D Whatever leverage Career-Women might have had back in the day is mostly gone and rapidly diminishing.

Age

The absolute worst problem for women in this scenario is that they’re brainwashed to date men older than they are.

The older women get, the older the guys are that they try to create relationships with. They don’t want to be called/labeled “Cougars” or Cradle-Robbers or whatever other bullshit has been conjured up to shame women into acting however men want them to.

Meanwhile, guys don’t care about that. Legal is Legal. If he’s 60 and she’s 30, it’s ON and POPPIN’!!! >:D

There are approximately ZERO 60-year-old dudes that are looking for 70-year-old women. Meanwhile, 60-year-old women that fell for the okey-doke are still playing the “Older than I am” game.

Same thing if you bring it down to the 40s. 40-year-old dudes are still dating college chicks. 40-year-old women are looking for 45-year-old dudes that aren’t looking for THEM! o_O

Solution

The obvious solution here is for successful women to Date Down.

Once y’all get past the point of needing a guy for financial support, you can do whatever you feel like doing.

Look at your girl, Demi Moore… People talked a lot of TRASH when she hooked up with Ashton Kutcher. You know what happened after that?… That’s right.. She enjoyed her life.. The only one she’s going to have.

There’s a lot of talk about “Independent Women”. You’re not independent if you’re still operating under your antiquated brainwashing.

“Independent” doesn’t mean “Free to choose the guy you’re dependent upon”. It means that you’re going to do whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it. It means that if you want to go to The Bahamas, you’re going to GO instead of waiting for a guy to take you.

It means that if you want to buy that sports car, you’re going to DO IT instead of waiting for a guy to buy it for you. If you want that apartment or house, you’re going to GET IT and make your life as fantastic as you want it to be.

It ALSO means that if you honestly feel, in your “heart of hearts” that you want to date a guy YOUNGER than you or BROKER than you or SHORTER than you or LESS PRESTIGIOUS than you or LESS FAMOUS than you, you’re going to go ahead and do that because this is *YOUR* life, not anyone else’s, and when it’s over, you have to look back on it and say “I went for MINE’Z!!!” instead of “I followed everyone’s rules about how I should act.. Where’s my prize? :O”.
What’s the deal with chicks selling T&A in internet videos? I don’t have to point any fingers, because y’all know who y’all are, and you know what you’re doing, but this video I just watched by TokenBlackChic hits the situation right on the head:

Future?

What I’d like to know from the ladies is “What, exactly, is your intended career path after amassing fans by selling T&A?” I mean, if you consider the fact that most guys watch your videos with the volume all the way OFF, what value are you building into your personal brand? Are you trying to become known for having a nice body? If so, what do you suspect you’ll be hired for other than “Booth Babe”? Is that your aspiration? The “Car Show” circuit?

What’s the track record for actual porno chicks making it to real movies? Other than rel=”nofollow”>Traci Lords, is there a single one? :) This is because pointing a camera at your body doesn’t count as acting talent. We all love it when you do it, make no mistake (until you fall off and then nobody wants to see that), but the rep you’re building isn’t going to land you that anchor spot on the evening television news… Weather?… Maybe.

Focus on Content

If showcasing T&A is your only win in life, at least balance it out with some actual content. Nobody will begrudge you looking good if you’re actually educating or entertaining them. At least play it off as if you have something important to say by taking the time to think up interesting and relevant material.

Will you be able to get paying gigs because of T&A? Most definitely. Are those the jobs you really want to do? Probably not. Most companies and shows want to hire people that make them look intelligent.. People that can deliver their material properly and add value to their presentations. If you’re using your looks to call people’s attention to your brilliant writing and magnetic personality, more power to ya! :D If you’re using your looks to get people to… look at your looks, then have fun and I hope it floats your boat, but you might want to do some research as far as how far doing that has ever gotten ANYONE, and in WHICH direction…

I’m going to try to get in and out of this one, haha no pun intended, rather quickly, because I’m actually completely bored of the topic of people “cheating” in relationships. The fact of the matter is that human beings operate off of FREE WILL and do whatever they want WHENever they want, regardless of what they told you last month, last week, last night or the last telephone conversation you had with them.

Politicians, however, are in a “special circumstances” situation… at least, if they’re aiming for the top…. which… of course… is to become the President of the United States of America.

George Bush is the forty-third and current PotUS. Out of those 43 men, only ONE wasn’t married. That was James Buchanan.

James “Jimbo” Buchanan, Jr. was the fifteenth President of the United States, between the years of 1857 and 1861…. That’s EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SEVEN! :D hahahaha That’s the middle of the NINETEENTH CENTURY! There was not ONE unmarried PotUS in the entire Twentieth Century. The first and last one was approximately ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS AGO! :D There is absolutely no end to this trend in sight…. I mean, it’s not even a “trend”. James Buchanan was an anomaly. Getting married is virtually a prerequisite for being elected President.

I’m sure you can imagine that this puts an incredible amount of stress on young male politicians to get married whether they want to or not. On top of that, they need to do it early, so that they can be seen as upstanding members of society and receive the endorsements that are going to eventually carry them to the big show.

Meanwhile, in every other profession on the planet, you can be single and prosper. You can have as many chicks as you want and all people are going to say is “Go, Man, Go!” or hate on you because you have stuff that they wish they had and are never going to get.

The reason why being a politician creates “special circumstances” is that you’re being groomed to take charge and control of really important things….. like… the Armed Forces?… And at the same time, you’re NOT supposed to do what YOU feel like doing. I mean… It would be one thing if you had NO money, NO prestige, NO power, NO fame and NO opportunity, then, yeah, sure… be happy you got one girl ever in life and leave it at that. Being a politician, though, requires shouldering ‘heavy’ responsibilities and making hard decisions that affect many, many people. Politicians are GROOMED to impose their will on others. That’s the only way to properly represent the people that elected you to office. What are you there for, if not to effect change and advocate for what you believe in and what YOU want for your constituents?

So, politicians are between a rock and a hard place. They can either get married and have career potential or NOT get married and have women that they’re physically attracted to and enjoy having sex with as a trade-off for their highest professional aspirations in life. It’s actually worse than that, because some politicians probably only became popular with the ladies AFTER they had positions of power, which means AFTER they were already married with children. How wack is THAT? :D When it’s FINALLY time for you to get on, you’re not supposed to do it. When chicks are FINALLY throwing panties at you, like they never did when you were an A+ student GEEK in high school & college, NOW, you’re not supposed to hook up with them. NOW that you can afford to spend $4,000 a pop on imported hookers, people literally want to make a Federal Case out of it.

I have to pause for the cause, here hahaha. I was in DC one time for my sister’s friend’s birthday party in some kind of pie-in-the-sky hotel where the center of the bar/club in the penthouse stays in one place and the outside slowly rotates, so you can sit at your table and get a 360 degree view of the surrounding area… beautiful! :D So anyway… I had to go downstairs and come back up to the party, and I was waiting to transfer to the elevator that went to the PH. This middle-aged dude comes out of a room and sits down in a chair to wait for the same elevator. Nothing unusual. Next thing I know, this ONE other middle-aged dude ushers no fewer than SIX much-younger Asian chicks (yet obviously legal) out into the hallway, dressed to the NINES, and they flock around this dude in the chair like he was like… I dunno… Brad Pitt? Richard Gere? hahaha So I’m thinking WTF is going on here? :D So we go to the party, and I’m hanging out with my sister and her friends at the bar, and I spot that same one dude on the dance floor with ALL SIX CHICKS AROUND HIM! :D That’s when I got hip to the fact that “Money Talks and Bullshit Walks” and he had obviously “ordered out”.

Now, I don’t know a thing about that dude as far as whether he was a politician or business man or whatever, but that’s how some dudes are living. Doing what they want to do, when they want to do it and spending their money on what they enjoy… in that particular case, women. That’s GOT to be hard for poliicians to listen to on the back 9 of the golf course… especially when THEY probably have more money and prestige than the guys livin’ it up!

Does this EXCUSE them? Nope. They still made the agreement. They accepted the commitment that comes along with marriage. If they get caught out there doing their thing, their character takes a hit and that might very well signal the end of their political careers anyway. Politicians should be as accountable as anyone else for not being people of their word. It just seems like people are MORE shocked when its a politician involved in these monthly scandals, when basically, it’s like Chris Rock said, ““A man is basically as faithful as his options”.

Speaking of “Special Circumstances”… What’s the deal with making the wives do the perp-walk with them to the podium? Hand-in-hand, merrily they walk to center-stage while he camera flashes go off, and the wife stands there for however long she has to, looking like “Picture of Rejection”, while her husband “admits” what has already been in the tabloids for days, weeks, months or years. I mean, seriously. Someone needs to revamp the speeches they write for these guys and put a couple of lines in for the wife, too.

I know what the point is. It’s showing the world that a) you didn’t get dumped when your wife found out what you did, and b) that the most slighted person in this situation has apparently forgiven you, so everyone else should just ease back and fuhgeddabouddit. Unfortunately, that only works when your wife is SMILING and appears to be HAPPY to be standing next to you. When they look shellshocked, because you dragged them on stage one day after they found out what you did on the television news or your daughter came home from junior high school with the story, it really doesn’t help your campaign for sympathy.

Anyway… As tough as it is to run successful companies, it’s got to be tougher to run cities, states and countries. We’re bred as Americans to take what we want and strive to be the best at whatever we do. It’s just not natural to expect the leaders of leaders of leaders to not indulge in the finer things in life. Having said that, we would like to imagine that our leaders are beyond reproach. I think this is the key to why people are so amazed every time this happens. We’d like to believe that our politicians believe what we believe, which is why we elect them to advocate for us. We’d like to believe that no matter how much power, money or fame our leaders accumulate, they’ll still carry themselves with the humility of a West Virginian lumberjack who goes to church with his wife, plays XBOX with his son and participates in the annual log-rolling competition. But if you think about it….

What’s the point of being the President if you can’t get blown under the table? :/
