So now, I’ve joined the Yahoo Tech Group, “VideoBlogging”. It’s an online community that includes a condensed resource of blogging and video brainstorming and Q&As.

While I was skimming the old posts, I found out that Ted Tagami posted about the NY Video 2.0 Group October Meetup that’s happening on October 26th in NYC. There are already 50 people that are planning to attend, and about 100 more undecided or that just didn’t post that they plan to be there. The group’s about video in general, not VideoBlogging in particular, but I’m sure there’s quite a bit of overlap between the two communities.

Should be interesting……..

Dan McVicar (The Bold & The Beautiful, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson) has a new show… The Late Nite Mash. It’s a mash-up of comedy, music and fascinating people. It’s a community where viewers will contribute their own material to the show.

The Late Nite Mash is DEDICATED to giving everyone something better to watch while they’re wasting their time.

No matter what time it is… It’s late in Los Angeles… but it’s too early to go home!

ReelSolid.TV started out on May 27th, 2006. It’s time to expand to text because making video for the web has made me aware of the community of vloggers. I need a space to record what’s going on for me outside the realm of video creation.

So… this is it….. :D

The Harlem Renaissance 5-Mile Classic Road Race was founded by: Dr. Roscoe C. Brown Jr., Tuskegee Airman and past President of Bronx Community College; Preston King Jr., CPA, and marathon runner; and Abdul El Amin, runner of two Ultra Marathons and trainer. They convened a committee of runners, coaches, educators, civic & business leaders to create a racing and cultural event for the enrichment of the Harlem community.

The 1990’s brought another, major cultural and economic revitalization spurred by the formation of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, New York City housing Development programs and investment by visionary entrepreneurs. Today, The Harlem Renaissance 5-Mile Classic is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a mission to generate college scholarship funds for Harlem youth by celebrating the aspirations of the Renaissance of the past and the joy of revival currently spreading throughout this world-famous community. The race event brings light to the contributions made by Harlem residents in the fields of art, civics, history, literature and the sciences. The hope is to provide participants and spectators alike with a glimpse of Harlem’s energy, diverse architectural structures, great cultural institutions, historic sites, and world renowned churches.

Raising Scholarship Funds for youth of the Harlem Community is the stated Mission of HR5MCO. For this reason, this race event has earned the support of national corporations, as well as local businesses, elected officials and other non-profit organizations.

Your participation as an individual or team entrant is welcomed. Your presence will help create new educational opportunities for the youth of the Harlem community.

KR3TS Dance Company caters to children, young adults of lower to middle income families in Latino communities of New York City primarily. The company also opens its doors to any other community. Their goal is to provide an outlet to develop skills and abilities that will enhance their lifestyles.

They learn to express their talents through dance, and are encouraged to set goals, strive for what they believe in, to improve their self-esteem, cooperation, and integration as part of a group, and to dream. They are secure with the knowledge that no matter what level of skill, they can achieve their goals through dedication, determination and hard work.

No matter what the obstacles, they must…

The program offers a year round ongoing curriculum, for both males and females, ranging from 5 to 34 years of age, and has students from varied ethnic backgrounds.

Offered are private classes, workshops, performers, management for artists and dancers, coaching, artist development – height, size, age, race doesn’t matter – this is a family, anyone can do it!! Practice is based in Spanish Harlem.

They are exposed to varied dance styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and African dance. Participation in field trips to area performances, guest teachers and opportunities to showcase their talent at local arts and civic centers are just part of the fuel that keeps the KR3TS students improving and striving to be the best they can be.

They have been featured on the METRO Channel “Studio Y”. They are also proud to have choreographed and performed to the title song of the film Blazin (featuring Angie Martinez, Phat Joe..) at the movie’s premiere in New York City.
