“Jersey Shore”, Season 03, Episode 07 was entirely painful to watch. :)

I mean, I really didn’t want to watch some of it. I wanted to fast-forward to another section, but I really needed to absorb all of the tomfoolery in order to get a proper grasp on what I feel happened.

Where’s The Disclaimer?

First of all, right off the bat.. MTV has done it again, completely whitewashing Female -> Male violence… AGAIN. I was already tired of this, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, but the saga continues.

Ronnie, of course, was in the wrong for starting to throw Sammi’s things around before and after she told him not to touch her stuff. ~22 minutes into the program, Mike says “I’ve seen them, obviously, fight before, but this one was pretty serious” in his confessional and then it cuts to a scene where Ronnie’s touching the left side of his face, and says to Sammi “Touch my face again!”, while Mike’s suddenly trying to usher him out of the room. The next scene is Ronnie fixing his hair.

I don’t see how with at least two cameras, and maybe three filming one scene, that a) they didn’t catch whatever Sammi did to Ronnie on tape, b) they didn’t have Mike say what happened in his confessional, because he was right there, and/or c) they didn’t have Ronnie say what happened in his confessional, because it happened to him.

~28 Minutes into the show, Vinny’s watching Ronnie throw Sammi’s things around, and Ronnie says “You know what? **** this *****, Putting your ******* hands on me? I told you if you ever put your ******* hands on me again… if you ever put your ******* hands on me again… **** OUTTA HERE! :/”. He keeps ranting, which sounds like the editors looped what he said and played it again while Sammi’s belongings were flying out the door onto the porch.

This seems like the raving of a lunatic, because MTV elected not to show Sammi putting her hands on Ronnie, AGAIN, and if they honestly didn’t get the footage, they elected not to fill in that very important blank by having people talk about it in confessionals, which is how they fill in the blanks and write storylines for “reality” shows.

Yes.. There are WRITERS for “reality” shows.

The reason I keep bringing this up isn’t for “Men’s Rights” of some kind. It’s because ‘reporting’ like this gives females an incorrect idea of what can and often DOES happen to them for putting their hands on guys when cameras aren’t rolling and the guy isn’t under contract not to punch your lights out.

If Sammi had thought for one split second that Ronnie might have punched HER in the face right after she punched HIM in the face, she wouldn’t have done it. She didn’t look for one split second like she was willing to take damage in a “fair fight” (which it wouldn’t have been, because obviously, Ronnie’s way more athletic than Sammi is, even though she appears to be taller than he is) with Ronnie. This means that she should have kept her hands to herself.

Not that it’s a good look for Ronnie, throwing another person’s belongings around like as if he had bought them himself.. he looks rather pathetic doing that, actually… But when MTV paints Sammi to have done nothing at all, when she had previously punched Ronnie in his face and apologized (I believe I saw that) for hitting him and he most likely had a DO. NOT. PUNCH. ME. IN. MY. FACE. EVER. AGAIN. conversation with her, which she agreed to, except now, she’s accosted him again.

Beef & Drinks

One of the problems with these “reality” shows is that all of these people are getting money to be there. They all signed contracts that say stuff like “If I hit someone, I can be thrown off the show”. I think this fact escapes a lot of television viewers.

The reason this is important is that you’re only seeing a limited range of reactions from people on televison, and in the real world, you could get something completely different and most definitely worse for doing the exact same thing.

An example is that there is now an epidemic of drink-throwing on television. Did you notice that? :D haha That’s because everybody signed agreements that they take a loss if they HIT someone, but nobody signed an agreement not to throw liquid on someone.

Throwing drinks, specifically, sticky ones, like the orange juice and cranberry juice that they give you to mix with the $30 bottles of vodka that you paid $300 for as a part of “table service” in the club, is perfectly disrespectful, might mess up someone’s look for the evening, will certainly get them upset and MIGHT COULD get THEM to punch YOU in the face, causing them to be ejected from the show.

In the real world, if you throw a drink on someone, you’re getting elbowed in your face and going to the hospital. Period.

This is one of the reasons I enjoy watching shows like this. I like seeing how people adapt to their current environment. I like knowing that when people are in jail and not allowed to have money, they use cigarettes and food as currency. I like knowing that when you separate ethnic groups, it’s easy to convince kids that they dislike people with another skin color, even though THEY DON’T KNOW anyone with another skin color. I like knowing that it’s possible that liquid is going to be flying around if I’m in a club or a bar, because they saw people get away with it on “Bad Girls Club” or “The Real World”.

Character & Consequences

I’ve been wondering for a long time what the hell is wrong with people these days. I think I’m starting to get it. People, nowadays, lack CHARACTER, because they don’t go through any character-building experiences. Everything they do is virtual and has no real consequence. They start believing their own hype because they live in their own little fake worlds where they’re the stars of something.

I first noticed this in the video game world. Dudes that play games talk all kinds of yang to each other because they know that nobody knows who they are or where they live. Put those same dudes in the real world, in front of a guy that’s ready, willing and able to smash their ******* faces in, and you’re not going to hear a single peep out of them.

This way of being has now made it onto television. You can do anything you want to people on “reality” shows, because they’re prohibited by their contracts from decking you… unless they’re females, of course.

Vinny can’t tell Mike “I’m gonna drop you the next time you try to steal one of my girls”. Ronnie can’t tell Mike “I’m gonna drop you next time you wake my girlfriend up and point out to her that I’m socializing with Jenni so she comes downstairs and punches me in my face”. This prompts Mike to keep gossiping about and snitching on people, because there aren’t any consequences to his actions.

Jenni feels free to spinning back-fist Mike in his face, because there aren’t any consequences to that.

Sammi feels free to punch Ronnie in his face, because there aren’t any consequences.

Ronnie feels free to destroy a bunch of Sammi’s property that he didn’t pay for himself, because there aren’t any consequences.

The cast members break doors, beds and trash the house because MTV’s going to pay for it.

Nicole goofs off at work at the t-shirt shop because she’s a star now, and can’t get kicked off the show for not working, like Angelina.

This also sets up another problem, which is people creating fake relationships with people and maintaining them until the slightest issue comes between them.

Mike claims to be Ronnie’s friend, but violates “guy code” anytime he feels like it so he can get his gossip&snitch on. This is because the concept of “friends” is just a word these days. All it means is “I’m cool with that person”. It doesn’t have anything to do with trust, honesty or alliance.

It doesn’t make any sense that after all the stuff that Sammi, Nicole & Jenni said about each other that it can be patched up by Sammi apologizing to Nicole. That’s the BEGINNING of fixing a relationship, not the ACTUAL FIX! :/

Anyway… from the general to the particular…

Bitchassness

Right off the bat, Mikey-TMZ gets busy with the gossiping and instigating. He tells Sammi “You and Ron had so much drama in Miami that it’s never going to get better.”

First of all, he doesn’t own a crystal ball that tells him whether something’s going to get better or not. Second of all, he should mind his own ******* business. Third, according to “guy code”, he should be either saying things that help Ronnie get laid or he should be shutting the **** up.

The obvious problem here is that Mike was the first one to kick it to Sammi at the beginning of season 01. Mike was also the guy that concealed Sammi’s shenanigans from Ronnie, who only found out at the reunion that a) Sammi had been talking to another guy behind his back, and b) Mike was facilitating the situation.

Mike and Ronnie aren’t friends. They’re actually rivals. Mike is also a rival to Vinny, as he keeps trying to steal his chicks and used to get away with it before Vinny made a come-up during the last six months. Unfortunately for Ronnie, he easily falls for the okey-doke of Mike saying that they’re friends, even though his actions consistently and clearly show that he isn’t.

Sammi isn’t smart enough to realize that Mike isn’t HER friend either. He’s not trying to help her by bringing this stuff up. He’s trying go get her to break up with Ronnie, creating Single Ronnie that everyone wants to see back in action, including The Kid.

If Ronnie & Sammi break up, Mike gets his prime wingman back, which means more girls for Mike. That’s the WIN here. The other win, of course, is seeing the end come to the relationship between them, which would have never occurred if Mike had sold out before Ronnie and kept Sammi in deep check.

Ron calls it properly that Mike’s playing both sides, but fails to do anything about it. This is that lack of character I was talking about. What should have immediately happened is Ron should have walked out of the bathroom and told Mike to butt the **** out of his relationship and stop undermining him with his girlfriend. That didn’t happen.

Please Stop Trying To Drink And Think

Ron & Pauly hit the boardwalk. Sammi and Deena also hit the boardwalk, except they start drinking alcohol.

Pauly & Ron walk past Sammi & Deena BY THEMSELVES… WITH NO GIRLS… and Sammi goes “I think he was with a girl”. :/

This is the beginning of the end of the entire episode. What THE **** was she looking at? Probably nothing, because Sammi’s mind has been playing tricks on her for months.

Even if he HAD been walking with a girl, mind your ******* business. You’re not his mother. You’re his girlfriend. Play your position. You don’t get to tell a grown-ass man who he can hang out with or talk to, and you don’t get to punch him in the face when he doesn’t do what you ordered him to do.

Sammi’s response to her delusional disorder is to tell some dude she doesn’t even know to come over. This is where I heard the most pathetic confessional in the history of “Jersey Shore”. Sammi goes “You want to play that game, I’m gonna go out there and I’m gonna find the hottest guy in this bar and get Ron back for talking to a girl”. She said it like she was dropping science. She was positive that a) she was doing the right thing for herself, and b) that this was going to be an effective tactic to hurt Ron. I watched this several times, because it was so incredibly juvenile and elementary-school-playgroundish.

Let me give y’all females a tip… When you spend an entire year, 365 days, sweating ONE DUDE, Nobody Believes You when you turn around and pretend to throw sex at the next man. You’re not fooling anybody, not even yourselves. If that’s what you wanted to do, you would have done it BEFORE. If Sammi wanted to kick it with any guy OTHER than Ronnie, the time to do that would have been right after she had been informed that Ronnie was cheating on her and he confirmed it.

Of course… 30 minutes later, I was sitting there with my head in my hands after Ronnie trashed all of Sammi’s belongings and cried in the bathroom all night because she had danced with a guy in front of his face. :/

As they’re leaving the bar, Sammi says “**** Ron.. I just found my new boyfriend”. Pathetic. Once again… If you’re the type of person to be jocking some dude for a full year, you’re also *NOT* the type of person to STOP JOCKING HIM 15 seconds after seeing him walking with a girl, which he wasn’t because you’re a psycho and you can’t see straight when you’re drinking.

Nobody. Believes. You. that you’re going to give sex to this dude that you met in a bar in the daytime on the boardwalk at Seaside Heights. This is another symptom of that lack of character that permeates society these days. People think they can redefine themselves on the fly. It doesn’t work like that. The only people that fall for that are head-cases like you.

Jedi Mind Trick

Next, Ronnie makes a scene, talking about what he’s going to say to Mike. This is ridiculous, because he should have said it to Mike WHEN. HE. HEARD. IT.

Mike comes in, and instead of telling him “Dude. Stop ******* up my program with my girl. Stop talking to her. Get off that girl-code **** and act right”, Ronnie says some passive-aggressive line about Mike being Sammi’s friend.

Since Ronnie wasn’t drinking, this leads me to believe that he already forgot the footage that he saw on the first reunion show that had him ready to cry. Mike has been in cahoots with Sammi this entire time, as the videos revealed. Similarly, Jenni has been in cahoots with Ronnie this whole time, but played it off like she was supposed to so Ronnie wouldn’t get in trouble with Sammi. Accusing Mike of being friends with Sammi is like year-old news already and certainly doesn’t approach “Putting him in his place”, like Ron had claimed he was going to do.

Now.. The funniest thing about Ronnie, which we see in his interactions with Sammi and now in his “argument” with Mike, is that he’s not good with… talking. He’s good with sounding upset and speaking loudly and waving his arms around, but when it comes to the technical issues, he’s lost every discussion I’ve ever seen him have.

Ron has SEEN THE VIDEO TAPE of Mike confirming to Sammi that what Nicole & Jenni wrote in the note was true. He’s seen Mike rat him out with his own eyes and heard it with his own ears. There’s nothing to discuss here. Somehow, Ronnie gets talked out of his argument. o_O

After protesting that he’s never stabbed Ronnie in the back (which everybody with a television knows that he has, repeatedly… and stabbed Vinny too.. repeatedly), Mike fakes him out by apologizing.

Mike says “You know what? I’ll be honest with you right now. I’m gonna say I’m wrong”, and all of a sudden, Ron doesn’t have anything left to say. I couldn’t believe it. Pauly called this perfectly when he said “I’m definitely surprised Mike & Ronnie are hugging it out after this big, heated argument they just had. I dunno.. Maybe Mike gave him some, like, voodoo trick or something like that to avoid getting his ass kicked by Ronnie, I dunno.. But I think Mike was just apologizing just to shut Ronnie up, and it worked”.

I’m sorry… If I were one of these relationship-people, and some dude that was supposed to be a friend of mine told my girl “I saw The Kid playing you dirty” and then I found out that the dude said that and then I passively-aggressively confronted him about it and he apologized, that doesn’t get him back on Friend Status. Apologizing doesn’t un-ring the bell. You still snitched on me. You still created an obstacle for me to get over in relating to this chick. You’re not saying “I lied about that and never saw him do that”. You’re saying “According to ‘guy code’, I was wrong for ratting you out to this chick”. Everybody already knows that you were wrong.

The funniest part for me about that was that the apology came right in front of Sammi. Mike basically said “Yeah.. You’re right.. I should never have confirmed to this chick right here that you were making out with several chicks simultaneously at the club before coming home and climbing into bed with her to get your night’s sex”. Ultimately, nothing’s going to be different, because Ronnie’s contract precludes him from decking Mike for being nosey, so Mike will remain the Porch-Lady House Gossip.

Popularity

Jenni goes on a date with Roger to this Mexican spot. Dudes keep coming by and saying hi to him, haha :D She’s clearly not used to dating internet famous, or, in Roger’s case, locally famous people, because she’s frustrated by the constant interruptions.

This makes sense because the dude she used to go out with seemed to keep to himself. In contrast.. Everybody that knows me knows that I have 2,600 Facebook Friends, and depending on how large the party is, I’m liable to know 80 people in the same room with us. The entire night is non-stop meeting, greeting & chatting.

The only time it’s not like that is when we go off the grid for a #NOBLOG event where we specifically sequester ourselves so we can spend quality time together.

Another problem for Jenni is that if she decides to get slick in an upcoming episode and play Roger dirty, there are a lot of people that know she’s with him now, so all eyes are on her. >:D

How Could You Lie To Me?

In a question that’s heard by men around the world at least once every single day, Sammi asks Ronnie “How could you sit there and look me in the face, watch me cry and lie to my face?”.. The answer, ladies, is “If I had told you the truth, you would have stopped giving it up… so **** that.”

Ronnie, who can always make an argument sound passionate, yet never intelligent, goes “I have enough respect and love for you to ******* admit what I did was ******* wrong and shameful and disrespectful.” um… What? :D

First of all, you didn’t admit it until Nicole & Jenni snitched on you. Actually, you STILL denied it, initially. Unfortunately, he didn’t learn anything from getting SERVED by Mike, or else he would have said “You know what, Sammi.. I’m gonna be honest with you right now. I was wrong”, and then they would have hugged it out and he could have screwed her as usual.

Instead of doing that, he justifies his cheating by saying “Be a woman and man up for your **** for once. I had a REASON to **** on you in Miami. Realize That!”. This isn’t a high-percentage play, actually. :D It’s rare that when a female says “You cheated on me!”, telling her “You deserved it!” gets her to STFU and spread her legs, which, of course, is your goal in speaking to her at all.

Sammi follows up with “You embarrassed ME! You don’t deserve somebody like ME!”.. This is where I wish MTV wouldn’t edit this show so much, because I was looking forward to Sammi listing the qualities that make her “Somebody like ME”. Somebody like what? o_O A chick that hits a dude for being friends with another chick? A chick that starts flirting with guys in a bar because she drunkenly, mistakenly thinks she saw her boyfriend walking with another girl on the boardwalk? A chick that won’t STFU when men are arguing, causing her boyfriend to get into not one but TWO fights, the second of which, he got arrested for? A chick that can’t cook White Castle burgers or anything else for that matter? (which came up later) A chick that’s constantly depressed and laying around in bed instead of going to clubs? A chick that hands out orders to a grown-ass man about what he can and can’t do like as if he’s a kid on a field trip? What exactly is she claiming that her redeeming qualities are?

This is where I finally thought Ronnie was going to snap out of this. He goes “You know what? I can’t do this. This is, what? The seventh day we fought in a row? How about You do you. I’ll do me. You should be happy. You ruined your time in Miami. Don’t ruin your time here. So, you know what? This conversation’s over. We’re done. Leave it at that!”. I was like “YES!.. THANK YOU!!!.. FINALLY!!! :D”…

Little did I know the problems between these two were just starting, not ending. :/

In the rap game, the smallest thing can undo ALL the work you put in on a chick.

The most minuscule advantage that she perceives the next man has over you can completely undermine your chances of getting whatever you wanted from her.

This is why it’s imperative to ACT AS IF everyone else that’s trying to get this gal is better than you are.

The only thing worse than assuming that the next man is equal to you is assuming that you’re better than he is, because you lull yourself to sleep and make his job of pulling *YOUR* girl waaaaaay easier.

Equality

There’s no such thing as Equality when it comes to kickin’ it to chicks. Every one of us is seen as having advantages and disadvantages, depending on what she happens to be looking for at that time.

If she’s looking for an LTR and you’re more attractive but less reliable than the next man… You lose. If she’s looking to get physically ravaged and you seem to be like a pious gentleman… You lose. If she’s looking for independence and you seem to want to control her every move and be informed of her whereabouts at all times… You lose.

So the idea of equality in the dating game is ridiculous. Leave that out of your thinking. You’re better or he’s better. One of the two of you (or BOTH OF YOUSE, if she gets down like that) is gonna get what he wants. It’s imperative that you know what your advantages and disadvantages are over the other suitor(s) that are competing for her hand…. or whatever. >:D

Reality

Realistically, if getting laid actually matters to you, you should be fully aware at all times of how your chances are looking and why they look that way. You should be able to assess yourself, the target chick and your competition and decide how much work you need to put in to finish first in the race.

Once you make that assessment, you might conclude that you’re the clear front-runner and there’s no way in hell you shouldn’t get the rap over these Herbs that are vying for the same chick. This may very well be the absolute truth… Unfortunately, you can’t afford to ease back in the cut because you think you’ve got it like that.

If YOU think you’ve got it like that, your opponents ALSO think you’ve got it like that and you’d best believe they’re going to pull out the stops to undermine your rap and try to pull the girl for themselves.

The fact that they’re hungrier than you are makes them ‘dangerous’ and gives them more abilities than they usually have, naturally. It’s like the proverbial “cornered rat”. Not very dangerous until cornered, and then you’d best protek ya neck! >:D

Psychology

Your accurate understanding of pre-rat-cornering reality will put you at a SERIOUS DISADVANTAGE in the rap game. Realizing that the next man is inferior to you will relax your mind and you won’t be prepared for him to pull out the stops to defeat you and abscond with your chick.

The proper counter to this is to OVERESTIMATE YOUR OPPONENTS… All the time.

Don’t stop at the next man’s clear limitations.. Make up fables and stories about grandiose things he’s achieved and accomplished that he might be able to use to convince the gal she should hook up with him instead of you… Don’t fight the dude you know he is… Fight the dude you create in your mind, who’s like 80 million times better than him, and, in fact, better than YOU when it comes to pulling this particular chick.

That’s how you get “The Eye Of The Tiger” back. That’s how you psych yourself into being HUNGRY instead of cold lampin’ and accepting your spoils of war since you don’t figure there’s any way this dude’s going to be able to defeat your rap to this chick.

If he’s a Herb, convince yourself that he’s a Player.
If he’s broke, convince yourself that he’s rich.
If he doesn’t seem like he puts in any bedroom-work that’s worth mentioning, act like he puts chicks to sleep on a regular basis.
If he doesn’t seem to have class, act like he’s a gentleman from The King’s Court.
If he dresses like a bum, act like he’s showing her pictures of himself in a tux on his smartphone.
If he looks out of shape, assume that he’s actually in FANTASTIC SHAPE and deliberately doesn’t rock fitted/tailored gear so he can spring his body on unsuspecting females if his verbal game doesn’t seal the deal.

Work From The Bottom

Most fighting systems teach you what to do if you’re on an even level with your opponent or you have the upper hand. IMO, the more useful fighting systems teach you what to do when you’re LOSING a fight… What do you do when your opponent punches harder? What do you do when you’ve expended all your energy (gassed out) and you know what to do, but can’t execute the moves? What do you do when the fight goes to the ground and your standup skillz are currently worthless?

This is the benefit you receive from doing the psych work and pretending that your opponent has a better chance of pulling the chick than you do. You learn to keep your mind clear and do your best job under circumstances where you don’t actually believe you’re going to defeat the next man.

Not only does this help you win this particular scenario, but when you end up in a situation where the next man actually DOES trump you in areas that are important to the gal in question, you’re used to working from the bottom and pulling out the win.

The last thing you want to think is “I’m finished.. I can’t win this. :(“.. In fact, you *NEVER* want to think that… You want to think “He’s currently winning, but until he physically removes her from my presence, I still have a shot at this!”.

My experience with working from the bottom doesn’t come from being challenged by outsiders, but rather from hanging out with dudes that had better raps, presentation & skillz than I did. You were pretty much doomed from the giddyap, if, say, you were the 3rd or 4th most likely dude in the crew you’re hanging out with to attract a chick. Every time you ran into girls, you had to HOPE that a) there were more than three of them, and b) you were interested in the 4th-or-worse most attractive chick because you knew damned well that you were going to be trumped by three of your homies for the better-looking gals.

In fact.. You could even be trumped by WAY LESSER DUDES, depending on whether their particular style was more appealing to a gal than yours… In one memorable situation, I met a gal that I thought was good-enough-looking and a nice person and I had thrown my hat in the ring at the same time that a guy we were hanging out with did. I saw her gravitating towards his style, and TOTALLY not as a hater and TOTALLY not to try to undermine his rap, I informed her to her face that dude was a crumb and she really didn’t want to hook up with him… Didn’t matter.. She was sweating him, so she gave it up, he didn’t use condoms, she got pregnant within like a month, and he stopped accepting her phone calls.

Did I care about that?.. No. She was dumb enough to fall for the Okey-Doke and the dude was smooth enough to pull it off. The spoils of war go to the victors. My hat’s off to him… Not for being a DEADBEAT MOTHER******, but for arriving on the battlefield prepared to win and pulling it off even though I was then and am now “the better man”.

Value

Your studies and training come in handy when you really ARE the underdog and have to figure out how you’re going to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Every once in a while, all the other guys are 6’1″ when you’re 5’9″…
Every once in a while, all the other guys own yachts and you don’t even own an inflatable pool.
Every once in a while, all the guys are rockin’ stylish suits and you showed up in a t-shirt.
Every once in a while, all the guys are hipsters and everything you know about their culture you learned from watching “The Burg”.

These are the times when you need to be able to remain calm and properly assess which qualities and abilities of yours will allow you to bypass the next man’s clear advantage.

I didn’t pull the chick (that the next man got pregnant and dumped within the span of 60 days) because I knew damned well that I was better than him and I *ASSUMED* that would be obvious to her as well. I arrived with ZERO game plan and his style summarily defeated mine. I couldn’t believe she was that stupid, but she was. I even told her to her face what was going to happen before it happened and she still let it happen to her.

Properly strategized and executed tactics will usually defeat what “should” happen. It’s like they say in MMA or Boxing.. If you leave it in the hands of the judges, you’re a fool.

Finish the fight. If you think you outboxed him or got more takedowns, the judges might still give the decision to the other guy. The only way to make sure that they don’t is to decisively end the fight without letting them give their opinion about which one of you did a better job today.

The best way to finish is to be WORRIED ABOUT the next man’s abilities. If you’re honestly not concerned about them, FAKE IT!.. Convince yourself that he’s a threat to your rap so you stay sharp, stay on-point and have the best chance of pulling the chick and having a good night instead of fiddling while Rome burns.

Gina Carano is going to fight Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos this Saturday, August 15th, 2009 for the Strikeforce Women’s Championship.

Now, I’m not much into making predictions on blogs, but I thought I’d throw in my two cents here ahead of time so I can compare it to what happens during the actual fight.

Unfortunately… (or, fortunately, for some of us :D), American media, and probably media everywhere else in the world puts a lot of value on physical, visual attractiveness. I think that’s a good idea when it comes to commercials and modeling, but a VERY BAD IDEA when it comes to fighting.

Every time I hear about Gina, they’re talking about how cute she is and how she’s “The Face of the Sport”, yadda yadda…

Every time I hear about Cris, they’re talking about how she’s a savage and has been mauling every chick in her path.

Unfortunately, the way the fight game works, as I’ve watched through Boxing and now Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), it’s a ladder-based system where you make sure the best avoid the best until you can make a superfight and make a lot of good money from it. Because of this, I haven’t been able to see Carano & Santos go up against the same calibre fighters in order to attempt to accurately judge what should happen when they meet on Saturday.

Of course, this issue is exacerbated by the fact that there just aren’t very many women that are allowed to fight on television. As far as I know, there are ZERO women in the UFC, ZERO women in the WEC (which appears to be the minor leagues of the UFC?), I saw some rarely when Bodog used to have a show, and you see women fight now and then in Strikeforce, where this fight is going to take place.

Therefore… Basically due to a lack of female fight promotion, this is about to decide the female MMA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, very much in the same way that the World Football Champions are decided by the NFL, because there’s no viable competition anywhere else in the world.

The other question is “Where do they go from here?”. What can Strikeforce do to top themselves after this? I think they’d better hope that the fight’s really competitive so that people clamor for a rematch and they can drag this “rivalry” out for a couple of years.

Hopefully, what’s going to happen is that more people will see female fights as entertaining and request more women in the fighting organizations. Any decisions made are going to depend on how much money there is to make from female fights, so we’ll see how things turn out.

As far as my prediction for Saturday……. I’m rooting for Carano, because I’ve been following her longer.. Except I’ve been fully impressed with the ass-whippings that Cyborg Santos has been handing out to any chick that would like to step up and receive one. :D I haven’t been able to see them fight the same quality women, so I don’t have a good handle on this, but it appears to me that Cris is just too strong/brutal for Gina. I’ve seen Gina battle with other chicks. I haven’t seen Cris in trouble AT. ALL… Not that I’ve seen all of her fights.

I would love to see Gina win an unanimous decision over Cris, but realistically, my prediction is referee stoppage in the 4th round, declaring Cris Cyborg the winner, TKO via strikes.

Another issue here, though is that this fight is going to be five 5-minute rounds. For some odd reason, they’ve been forcing women to fight 3-minute rounds, which is obviously going to make this fight tougher to predict as far as stamina. Non-title fights are 3 rounds, meaning that men get to fight 15 minutes, while women only have 9 minutes to make it happen.

The obvious problem here is that when you decide to make a championship fight where women are going to fight five 5′s.. They now have to last for 25 minutes, or almost THREE TIMES AS LONG as their normal fights (3×9 being 27 minutes). The guys in the same situation don’t even have to fight TWICE as long (15×2 being 30 minutes), so this is really pretty retarded and they need to make it so that women are fighting 3x5s in their regular fights just like the men.

So this could throw a major wrench in my prediction, depending on which one of the ladies shows up with better cardio on Saturday. If Cyborg gasses out, I’m changing my prediction to Carano by tapout due to Rear Naked Choke late in the 4th round! :D

Either way, I’m about to enjoy my ass off! :D

First of all, nobody knows what happened (if anything) the other day between Chris Brown & Rihanna. You know how the internet works… Somebody says something and somebody else believes it and reports it as truth then somebody else exaggerates the first “truth” and you end up with all this garbage.

Here’s some of what the Associated Press (AP) reported yesterday:

John Rogers: LOS ANGELES (AP) — Chris Brown, who was arrested a week ago in connection with a domestic violence investigation, said Sunday he is “sorry and saddened” by what happened and is seeking counseling from his pastor and loved ones.

The 19-year-old R&B singer also said much of what has been reported of the incident is untrue, although he did not elaborate.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person,” Brown said in a statement issued through publicist Michael Sitrick.

“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and-or reported in the media is wrong,” he added. But he said he couldn’t discuss that in detail until his case is resolved.

Brown surrendered to Los Angeles police on Feb. 8 and was released on $50,000 bail after being booked for investigation of making a criminal threat, a felony. He has not been charged by the district attorney’s office, which is still investigating the case.

His arrest reportedly stemmed from an argument with his girlfriend, fellow singer Rihanna, shortly after they left a pre-Grammy Awards party.

Now.. Other than that, there are a lot of rumors floating around. There’s a lot of SPECULATION about what started the argument, what happened during the argument, what was said during the argument and even what had occurred between them BEFORE that day, as far as physical altercations, none of which appear to stem from actual eye-witness accounts.

So let’s take a few of these rumored situations and discuss ways to deal with them… But first….

Where to start a fight

In case you don’t know what a Lamborghini is, this is what it looks like. It basically looks like a race car that belongs on the track or on television, except it’s rolling down the street like a pink elephant.

I don’t believe there has been one time, EVAR, that I have been in the presence of a Lamborghini and not looked at it until it was ALL THE WAY out of my line of sight. Never.

The point being… If you DID decide to kick someone’s ass and you intend to get away with it, inside a pink elephant with windows is NOT the place to do it. Even if you escape the scene, the witnesses are going to say “Well… I didn’t catch a glimpse of who it was…… but he drove off in a LAMBORGHINI.

On top of that, if you rented the car, you have to RETURN IT, and trust me, if rental places check for damage you caused in a U-Haul (which I know about), they’ll check for damage you caused IN A LAMBORGHINI (which I know nothing about).

ok.. On with the rumors:

Rumor 01: Another dude tapped Rihanna

I think the first rumor I heard about this situation was that the argument was about Rihanna hooking up with another dude. One option in this situation is to get upset and start a fight inside a rented Lamborghini. Another option is to attempt to verify this report, and if it turns out to be true, DUMP HER!… Meaning end the relationship, *not* dump her out of the rolling Lamborghini.

See, people tend to trap themselves in these so-called “relationships” with one person and then they get overly emotionally attached to what that one person does with their time or their bodies. The recognition that you actually have ZERO CONTROL over what your “significant other” does can cause people to temporarily or permanently LOSE IT big-time. There’s no preparing for this. It’s on-the-job training. You can say to somebody a million times “How would you feel if your girl gave it up to the next man?”, and no matter how many times they give you their thoughts on the matter, it’s an entirely different ball game in that split second where they actually BELIEVE it and they aren’t ready to handle it.

It’s important to note in these situations that while you have ZERO control over your S.O., you have 100% control over YOURSELF, which means that you can decide at any time that you’re no longer “in a relationship” with this chick and step to the left. Pull the car over to the sidewalk, give her a bus or subway token and say “Shalom”.

Why this doesn’t usually happen

Your girlfriend hooking up with another dude is most likely a ToS violation, which should result in her dismissal due to breach of contract. This should be especially true in the case of R&B singers. These are the guys that sing the songs that get OTHER. GUYS. LAID!… They shouldn’t have *any* problems getting a new girl TO-DAY, after they (no pun intended) “kick their girl to the curb”.

The problem here is pride. People like to feel proud of their relationships, as if they’ve actually done something. They like to feel like “I’ve got this girl/guy in DEEP CHECK!”. Letting go of the relationship doesn’t make them feel like a winner. It makes them feel like a loser. They feel like they couldn’t hold on to what they had or that someone else TOOK what they had away from them.

Take a step back. Recognize who you are as an individual and if your S.O. doesn’t want to comply with your ToS, let them go do whatever they want and choose a new girl from your groupies backstage at the concert. Seriously. It’s not that big a deal. Let it go.

Rumor 02: Chris got a text from another chick

The next unsubstantiated rumor I heard was that they were driving along, and Chris received a text message from some chick that wanted to hook up with him later on that evening. Somehow, Rihanna found out about this, and beef ensued.

First of all, if you’re the type of dude to a) have a girlfriend and b) still have OTHER girls that you mess with, ACT. AS. IF.:

1. Act as if your extra girls are going to call you while you’re rolling down the street in a rented Lamborghini.
2. DO NOT have your phone out in plain sight, where your girl can read the bootie-call message when it flashes on the screen while playing a ringtone from one of your own records about having sex with a girl behind your girlfriend’s back.
3. DO keep your phone locked at all times.
4. DO NOT honor your main squeeze’s requests to unlock your phone so she can see.

Unfortunately, even if the text/call you receive is “innocent” & platonic, there is nothing the next chick would like BETTER than to see you break up with your main girl. Nothing. All she needs to hear is that the two of you were spotted leaving XYZ establishment together in a nice car for her to go “OOOOOH!!! I’m gonna call him right now!”. Next thing you know, they’re suspending your commercial endorsement deals.

Question: Whose fault is this?

I just went back and looked over my list of ToS Violations, because I just realized that I left out “raising your hands to him”. I left it out, because stuff like that really doesn’t cross my mind. Getting hit by a chick that I’m messing with, “dating” or even FRIENDS WITH is absolutely unfathomable to me.

Anybody who’s actually hung out with me knows I’m extremely physical with chicks, in a win-win, “let’s both have a good time” way.

Sometimes, I get ahead of the game plan (not mine haha, hers!) and she’ll give me a verbal or physical notification that I’ve gone out of bounds.

Since my goal is for both of us to have a good time, we’ll talk about the issue, figure out the solution/boundary and then go back to “doing what we do”.

As far as I can recall, I’ve never been slapped by a chick when I didn’t fully deserve it.

Having said that… What I said above goes for WOMEN as much as it goes for men. In the hypothetical situation where your man receives a text message from another chick who wants to hook up with him, your responsibility is to “hold your head” or “maintain” or “keep your wits about you”, because you are NOT authorized to hit him because you lost your %&*#&$@ mind and didn’t know what to do with your nervous energy and suddenly-stressed emotional state other than put your hands up and strike a man.

I spoke about this in October, 2008 in “A Woman’s Place…”. While there are lots of guys that subscribe to “A man should *never* hit a woman under any circumstances”, there are enough men that DO NOT subscribe to this that make it DANGEROUS for women to hit men. Of course, there are also a lot of dangerous WOMEN that MEN don’t want to hit either hahaha, but the point is that being considered smaller or weaker than someone else does NOT give you carte blanche to physically lash out at that person and not expect for there to be consequences & repercussions.

This is why I disagree with elements of this recent Jay Smooth video where he interviews Elizabeth Mendez Berry, who wrote the Vibe magazine’s 2005 “Love Hurts” (PDF) feature about domestic violence within (and without) hip-hop:

4 minutes in, Jay says:

What do you say… I see so many reactions on the blog and stuff and a lot of it comes from women, saying “Well, if you expect to be equal, then if you hit him, you’ve got to expect he’s gonna hit you back. He’s got to be able to defend himself. What do you say to someone who’s looking at it that way?

And part of Elizabeth’s response is (and I understand that this was edited for brevity, so we don’t really know what her entire answer was):

[Edit point]I am responsible for my actions… If I hit my husband, he has every right to be upset with me… But the question is, does he have the right to hit me back? No. Each person is accountable for their own response and the choice that they make. [Edit Point] In a relationship, when you get upset, there’s a ton of different responses you could have. [Edit Point] And the question is… If I’m 5’4″ and I weigh 120 lbs, and my husband’s 6’5″, it’s not an equal and opposite reaction. [Edit Point]

Again… I know those were edited and we don’t know the entirety of what she said on the topic. Responding to the face value of her comments, as I’ve transcribed them in the blockquotes above, the first theory is absolutely wrong and the last statement isn’t a guarantee.

The way it works is… If you’re 5’4″ and your husband is 6’5″, survival instinct should dictate to you not to put your hands on him AT. ALL. Does that make sense?

Think about it this way… If you’re a 5’4″ female and you’re standing next to a 6′ tall female, are you going to put your hands on HER? Nope. Because she’ll beat you to a pulp and you won’t have anything to say about it because you’re both females.

Same thing with guys. Do shorter guys get a pass? Nope. You raise your hands to someone, that means you’re looking for a fight and you may very well get what you want. This is why in professional fighting (Boxing, MMA) they have WEIGHT CLASSES. They don’t allow the Welterweights to fight the Heavyweights. They don’t even allow the Light-Heavyweights to fight the Heavyweights.

So, at face value from the edit, her first theory is absolutely incorrect. The question isn’t whether her husband has the right to hit her back if she hits him. The question is whether she can control herself enough not to put her hands on him OR ANYONE ELSE in the first place.

The last part, where she mentions “equal and opposite reaction” isn’t guaranteed. If you slap somebody, they’re not obliged to slap you back and call it a day. You decided how you were going to start it and they’re going to decide how they want to finish it. This is why the high road in these situations is SELF CONTROL. Be the better man or woman when there’s a problem in your relationship. Recognize the alternatives and apply them when appropriate…. One of which is……..

Call the cops

That’s right. Call the cops.

If your girl can’t keep her hands to herself and you feel like you’re about to whip up on that ass, do yourself a favor and call the cops.

Turn her in.  Drop dime.

Hitting you is a ToS violation, so you’re going to break up with her anyway, right?.. So who cares if she’s on Rikers or not? Lock her up. BUH-BYE! *waving at helicopter flying away*

Why this doesn’t usually happen

The problem… AGAIN… is pride. Dudes don’t want to look like a chump for calling the cops on some cro-mag female that can’t use her brain well enough to not put her hands on other people… ESPECIALLY people she’s supposed to be in some sort of special relationship with.

Strangely enough, they’re perfectly ok with looking like a chump for beating a chick up. Actually, it’s not even a female issue. They’re perfectly ok with looking like a chump for beating up someone below their weight class.

Let it go, guys. Just admit you made a poor choice in women, dump her, get a new chick and start all over. Turn her in or don’t, but this chick is a problem waiting to happen, so before you’re the next Chris Brown, all up in the tabloids because you couldn’t find a way to have a good time with a chick in a $200,000 sports car, let your next move be your BEST MOVE, return her to wherever you found her and only associate with women who are trying to move their lives AND YOURS in a positive direction.

Fellaz: It’s All Over! :O

The Game as we know it is about to be turned on its ear! It’s all over. Get ready for the big Going-Out-Of-Business sale. What’s on sale, you ask?

Systematically, male leverage in the dating game has been eroding, or perhaps has been purposely erodED.

Back in the day, it was easy to pull chicks, because they couldn’t do anything on their own. I mean, they were always intelligent enough to, they just weren’t allowed to.

According to the Women’s Rights Movement in the U.S.
Timeline of Key Events in the A…, before August 26, 1920, women didn’t even have the right to vote. There was a bunch of other stuff women were dissuaded from, like having jobs, having their own money, owning land, starting a business…. Add that to the brainwashing girls receive to this very day when they receive baby dolls and toy ovens for Christmas to prepare them for their role as child-bearer, child-raiser, cook, maid, etc and it was a veritable buyer’s market. Oh… don’t forget the Scarlet Letter treatment women still receive to this day if they express themselves sexually and ‘get around’ in the same way that guys do. So… Basically, what you had was a bunch of chicks, sitting around with nothing to do, no money, probably no cars (? horses and buggies? hahaha) hoping that their lives would eventually *BEGIN* when some guy wanted to marry them.

Meanwhile, The Fellaz were living large because they were completely unrestricted in getting money, houses, land, voting, playing the field, etc. All you had to do was be better than the next man who comes a-knocking on a lady’s door as a suitor, and you were guaranteed to bag the chick. Of course, people like Fonzie had multiple chicks, either in parallel or serial, but that’s a different topic. :D

So anyway, in the 1920s, women got the vote. No big deal. However, around the 1940s, World War II kicked off, and all The Fellaz were sent to fight (read: die). In order to maintain American industry, there was no choice except to replace the guys with the chicks that had previously been sitting around at home. *THIS* was a big deal, :D because all of a sudden, “Sistahs were doin’ it for them-SELVES!!!”… Ya HEARD? :D Now, there’s no more sitting at home waiting for you to show up with your money and car, because she has HER money and HER car! :O No waiting for you to take her to Paris or Disney World, because she’s going to go if she wants to, AND hang out with her co-working female friends to boot! hahaha ROAD-TRIIIIP!!! :D

Guys’ leverage down the drain.

Fortunately, not all chicks took advantage of this opportunity to be prosperous. There were still a bunch of lazy chicks left over that wanted to get by on their looks and become “kept women”. There was also the mainstream media who recognized the problem of women doing EXACTLY what they wanted, when they wanted, and did their damnedest to keep images of how women are ‘supposed’ to act all over the newspapers, film reels and televisions.

At some point in the 1960s, “Women’s Lib” popped up to combat myriad injustices towards American females. This movement has done a lot of good for women, however, some chicks got completely carried away with it! :D

In 1968, Valerie Solanas wrote the SCUM Manifesto. I was lucky enough to have been handed a copy of this SCUM Manifesto by a good friend while we were in High School, and found it to be a rather interesting read. Quoting from the wikipedia entry:

“Sex is not part of a relationship: on the contrary, it is a solitary experience, non-creative, a gross waste of time. The female can easily — far more easily than she may think — condition away her sex drive, leaving her completely cool and cerebral and free to pursue truly worthy relationships and activities; but the male, who seems to dig women sexually and who seeks out constantly to arouse them, stimulates the highly sexed female to frenzies of lust, throwing her into a sex bag from which few women ever escape.”

[Side Note: Now you see how it's come to the point in 2008 when bookstore technique is a perfectly valid gameplan. Act like you've evolved as she has instead of "digging her sexually" and "constantly trying to arouse her", and you're "In like Flynn"! :D]
So, SCUM Manifesto advocated taking guys out of the loop, entirely. This brings us to February, 2008 and this article discussing British scientists trying to figure out how to turn women’s bone marrow into sperm. :O

What this means is that the last stronghold of The Fellaz is going down the tubes, and *YOU* are about to be OUT. OF. BUSINESS! :D

Once they figure this out, women will not need you for AN-NY*THING*! :D

This is partially what the movie “Fight Club” was about. Women do not need you to provide:

The only thing she needs *YOU* for is your MIT-graduate genes, complete with orangeish-brown complexion and naturally curly hair, and if they figure out how to extract that from the bone marrow of some chick that has those same features…
