Rachel Maddow wanted to know what the logic was behind Mike Huckabee saying the following about Herman Cain’s latest problem:

“Greta, It’s a serious charge.

The allegation is one that could upend his Presidential campaign, and I think the reaction that he’s had to it, when he said that, unlike the harassment charges, which he denied, he said this was a private matter.

In essence, he may have given an answer that will be very difficult for him to work himself out of.

I think this is the most damaging allegation that has been made to date, no question about it.”

It’s really very simple and obvious, but it requires an accurate grasp on reality to figure out.

The Problem

This is one of the reasons that I loved “Jersey Shore” so much when it first aired, and until they started watering it down to protect the ‘star quality’ of the cast members… I knew that people were going to be able to see with their own eyes things that I had been telling them for years and that they didn’t want to believe.

Nobody wanted to believe that dudes make out with multiple chicks at the same time.
Nobody wanted to believe that dudes pull a chick, hook up with her, and then pull entirely different chicks the next day, the next day, and the next day, because it’s sport and recreation.
Nobody wanted to believe that guys punch chicks in their faces.

The reason they didn’t want to believe these things is because it doesn’t fit their concept of reality, and they think their concept is correct, when it’s actually brainwashing that they received from their parents, teachers and peers and has no relation to reality AT ALL, except when they’re surrounded by people that subscribe to the same brainwashing.

For instance. You feel safe when you’re standing on a sidewalk, because cars are SUPPOSED to drive in the street. However, I’m fully aware that if a driver screws up or deliberately chooses to or there’s some mechanical failure, that person’s car can come right up on the sidewalk and head right for me.

While you’re busy not believing that the car is going to hop up on the sidewalk, I’m diving and rolling in slow motion like CHiPs, and good luck to you on surviving. :D

The FACT is that the car can come up on the sidewalk where you’re standing. Your BELIEF that it won’t do that disallows you from contemplating actual reality.

So, in this case, the question is whether it’s worse when a guy is accused of sexually harassing a woman (or three, or four..) or when he’s accused of having a 13-year long friendship with a woman during the course of his 49 year marriage to some other woman, which may or may not have included sex, but definitely included A LOT OF PHONE CALLS, including at least one that’s timestamped around 4am.

At this point in time, the year 2011, everyone’s going to profess that the sexual harassment allegations are more egregious, because everyone wants to appear politically correct.

Meanwhile.. The reality of the situation is that some people subscribe to political correctness, and some people just say they do so they aren’t chastised for what they really think and believe.

Similar to Jersey Shore, this situation is a window into reality.

The People

First of all, you have to consider the women that are making the allegations.

The women that claim that Cain sexually harassed them obviously have a problem with him. :D .. It makes perfect sense that they’d want to go to the press and talk about what he did, in an effort to derail his Presidential aspirations, which he never had, by the way, which is another thing I hate about PC behavior is that people have refused this entire time to admit that this guy never was an actual Presidential candidate, and he’s only out there increasing his popularity and selling books, which I said a long time ago, but that’s not what we’re discussing right now. :D

However.. Cain’s homegirl.. His home-skillet for 13 years.. She’s going to be way more credible when she says she hooked up with Cain.

Not only did SHE say she’s known him for 13 years, but Cain has admitted it as well.

Also, there are phone records showing the recent interactions between them. In fact, a reporter texted Cain on the number in the phone records and Cain called him back.

The only difference between their stories is that she says it was “inappropriate”, which is female-speak for “sexual”, and he says that it wasn’t, and that they’ve been “Just Friends” for the past 13 years.

So, on the one hand, you have a bunch of chicks that Cain is denying interaction with, and then you have one that he’s admitted to knowing. Already, that makes the consensual affair allegation more damaging than the sexual harassment allegationS.

The Proof

Next, you have to consider the issue of proof.

One gal claimed that Cain felt her up in a car. She has no pictures, videotape, or audio of that scenario, plus no witnesses that saw her get into a car with Cain or saw him feel her up = no evidence = that case isn’t going anywhere.

Whether he did it or not, she can’t prove that he did it, so it’s over.

Two more women made complaints and got paid off by the company Cain was working for at the time. Their proof is buried inside the fact that if they talk about it, they’re in violation of the non-disclosure terms of their settlement/agreement, and will suffer consequences that they don’t want = maybe they have proof, and maybe they don’t, but we’ll never know, unless someone leaks the documents = sexual harassment non-starter, as it pertains to Cain’s “campaign”.

The proof in the consensual “affair” situation is that the woman’s speaking clearly and plainly to the cameras, she’s under no legal obligation to not say she’s been hooking up with Cain, she’s providing telephone records that show 60 calls/texts over 4 months to his private cell phone, and even though it hasn’t become an issue yet, she’s said that Cain was paying for her to travel to locations where he was going to be, including mentioning what hotels they stayed in and which restaurants they ate in, which is easy enough to prove with credit card records if she bought anything while she was in the same place Cain happened to be, over and over and over and over…..

So the proof in the sexual harassment allegations is either “absolutely zero” or “effectively zero, due to legal constraints”, while the proof in the consensual relationship situation is 100% as far as friendship for 13 years, since both have stipulated to that fact, and the only question is whether Cain ever hit it or not.

According to that video, both of them also stipulated to the fact that Cain has given her money, adding to the credibility of the long-term friendship allegation, but doing nothing for or against the affair allegation.

The Perp

Next, you have to consider the guy that’s supposedly doing the harassing and having the affairs.

The situation that’s most interesting to me is the one where some dude was on a pundit show and said that he and a bunch of other people personally witnessed an incident between Cain and a female coworker at some restaurant or party and then shortly after that, she bounced from the job, but he wouldn’t talk about the situation.

That’s interesting because if what he’s (not) saying is true, Cain has felt free to ‘do his dirt’ in public.

I do dirt in public all the time, because I’m single, and I do the **** what I want, whenever the **** I want.

There’s lots of evidence of The Kid doin’ his thang residing on various people’s digital cameras, which will probably never see the light of day, due to #NOBLOG status agreements, but if they do, who cares? \o/

Everybody who was there saw me do it.

I did it because I felt like it.

If I would have felt like being private about it, I would have extracted the chick before making moves.

This is why I’m interested in what that dude on the pundit show hinted at.

If Cain was so bold as to kick it to some chick in front of a bunch of coworkers that all knew he was married, I’ll have to give him dap as far as feeling like he has his employees in deep check, so that they’re not going to snitch on him, hehe but that dog wasn’t gonna hunt once he tried to (albeit, fakely) run for the highest office in the land, and, frankly, on the planet.

Of course.. At the time these sexual harassment allegations were being made, 12 years ago, which makes it around the year 2000, there was no way in hell that Herman Cain was going to ever be considered to run for PotUS, Republican OR Democrat, so how was he to know that his shenanigans were going to ever make a difference?

While we’re on the topic, I’m sure this is one of the reasons that none of the viable Republicans wanted to run for President. As soon as they become frontrunners, people are going to start researching who they know and how they’re related to them, and sometimes, it’s better to leave the skeletons in the closet. :D

Anyway.. *IF* Cain was kickin’ it to some chick in public, there are enough people that saw it that one of them are eventually going to be approached by a tabloid and offered enough money to snitch on him.

If you watched the video above, that gal says that she met Cain when he was giving a presentation, he invited her out for drinks, he invited her to his hotel room, he told her she was fly (attractive, pretty, beautiful..), he invited her to different locations that he traveled to, put her up in hotels, took her out to eat, autographed two books that he wrote years apart from each other, contacted her 60 times within 4 months, gave her money, and she’s never worked for him in her life… If she’s telling the truth, why WOULDN’T Cain utilize the same M.O. on chicks that work in his company?

This is *ANOTHER* reason why this allegation is more damaging than the others. She has intimate knowledge of Cain and how he operates. The sexual harassment allegations are, let’s say, hit-and-run. It’s like, you roll up. You see what you can do. If she’s with it, good. If she’s not, who cares? \o/ The women don’t know anything about you other than you tried to get on. If they don’t have physical evidence of it, they have no proof, whatsoever.

The President

Next, you have to look at what it takes to become President of the United States of America.

There’s a reason why James Buchanan was the only bachelor President, and that occurred between 1857 and 1861. o_O

You HAVE. TO. BE. MARRIED. to make it ANYWHERE in the higher ranks of govenment.

This is why a lot of these political sex scandals occur. The guys know they have to be married for the sake of their careers, so they hook up with some chick, have a kid or two, and continue living the single life until they get caught out there.

Besides the obvious reason that a President needs to be married, marriage is an agreement. You agree that you’re going to do certain things. You take an oath. You swear up and down on a stack of bibles. You give your word. You tell people what you intend to do, going forward.

Similarly, you have to take an oath when you’re sworn in as PotUS.

An alleged consensual affair is more damaging than sexual harassment allegations because you swore to your wife that she was going to be your #1 chick and you were going to forsake all others, or whatever people claim they’re going to do when they get married.

If you can’t be trusted to not have other girlfriends besides your wife, you can’t be trusted to build electrified fences all the way across the border between the USA and Mexico, and fly drones overhead, and make gas $2/gallon, and evict 12,000,000 illegal aliens from United States soil, and privatize Social Security, blah blah blah blah blah.. You just can’t be trusted.

Once you get *INTO* office, you can screw Marilyn Monroe or Monica Lewinsky or whomever you like.

Before you’re elected, however, you have to *APPEAR* to be someone that takes your marriage vows seriously.

So there’s documented proof that Gingrich hooks up with chicks *BEFORE* becoming divorced from his current chick and then trades up. :D

We’ll see how long it takes before this becomes a central theme for people that don’t want him to become the Republican nominee…

You can do that when you’re already down with the system. When you’re trying to get *INTO* the system, you have to appear prim & proper.

A 13-year “friendship” with some chick that you’d most likely enjoy ******* appears neither prim nor proper during an ongoing 49-year marriage to a different woman.

The Peers

Next, you have to consider the peers that sit in judgement.

This is where the political correctness fallacy comes into play.

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that one instance of a married guy trying to feel a chick up in a car is true, and one instance of a married guy having a 13-year friendship with a chick is true (whether sex is involved or not).

As far as the car situation, it’s a dude trying to get some offa some random chick…. Who doesn’t do THAT? \o/

Nobody’s going to say that, though, because not appearing appalled is considered condoning, let’s call it, flash-cheating… Something done on the spur of the moment that doesn’t make any difference to your main relationship any more than going to play paintball one day.

Are there a lot of guys that meant it when they swore they weren’t going to hook up with other chicks once they got married? Yes. Are there a lot of guys that get some on the side, and their wives never find out, and their lives go on as usual, with them having some fun recreation with other chicks? Yep.

So, Regardless of what guys tell women, if they hear that Cain pressed up on some chick in a car, the question is whether he got some or not, *NOT* whether they’re going to vote for him or not.

Like, I’ve been saying this whole time that Cain has never been a viable candidate, but when this car thing came up, I wanted to know more details. How did he get her in the car? o_O What made him think she would go for the “casting couch” technique? What did she look like 12 years ago? Does it make sense that he wanted to hit it back then? What was the conversation like when he was driving her to drop her off after she dissed his advances?

Was I there? No. Do I believe her side of the story? Yes. Do I have a logical explanation for that? No. If I had thought he was a viable candidate and I liked his ideas and purported policies, would this event stop me from voting for him? Nope.

Who cares? \o/ He tried to catch some rec. (recreation)

So you can imagine how little people care about these particular sexual harassment allegations that DON’T BELIEVE her story. :D

On the other hand…..

If it’s true that Cain has been friends with this chick for 13 years, and you happen to consider her a MILF *NOW*, you’d best believe she was pretty tight 13 years ago, and Cain’s been hittin’ it every chance he gets.

This is going to be WAY more damaging than Cain trying to feel up some chick in a car one time, because if you back his play after this, you’re going to have to explain to YOUR WIFE about every single one of YOUR female friends that you may or may not have been tappin’ for the last decade. :D

This is why a lot of guys are going to have to distance themselves from Cain because of consensual allegations and not non-consensual allegations. The NC stuff doesn’t affect YOUR relationship to YOUR woman, because she doesn’t believe that you’re out in the streets doing the exact same thing.

Meanwhile, when you introduce her to your platonic friend, she believes you.
When you introduce her to your coworker (implying that you don’t have sex with her), she believes you.
When you introduce her to your cousin, she believes you.
When you introduce her to a friend of the family, she believes you.

If any one of those women… *ANY* one of those women step to your wife and say that they’ve actually been having sex with you, your battleship’s sunk.

The Point

In that 12-minute video I embedded above, that woman says repeatedly, confidently, and believably that she’s been hooking up with Cain for 13 years.

She also gives her reason for snitching on Cain… Apparently, someone she knows snitched on her to the press, and she had started to receive calls from them.

Having seen how Cain has downplayed all the other women that have accused him of pressing up on them, she had two choices.. Wait until the press stepped to Cain with this, and have him play her off and talk about her like he talked about all the others, or go to the press herself and tell her side of the story so it’s on tape by the time Cain starts denying.

If she would have waited, she would have looked worse than she does right now, so this decision is the lesser of the evils. She said she knew he was married. She said she knew she was involved in a “very inappropriate relationship”.

Cain (intelligently, for once) didn’t try to deny that he knows a chick that he’s been incessantly in phone/text contact with, so that places him at the scene of the 13-year crime.

In the sexual harassment allegation situations, Cain’s saying, across the board, “These ******* are trippin’!” :D

If you look at this through the blinders of 2011 political correctness, the sexual harassment allegations seem to be worse, because they’re non-consensual, and you fully expect the perp to deny that they ever occurred, and you believe the accusers, even though they have ZERO evidence and will never be able to win an actual court case or get Cain to admit any wrongdoing.

In reality, half of the people aren’t going to believe the sexual harassment allegations right off the bat, and then half of the people that believe it aren’t going to care.

The entire issue comes down to burden of proof.

The women alleging sexual harassment have to provide videotape or eyewitnesses that prove that Cain pressed up on them, which they either don’t have, or agreed in a settlement/agreement not to disclose.

The woman alleging a 13-year friendship with Cain that he admits to doesn’t have to prove jack-****. :D .. It isn’t on *HER* to prove that Cain had sex with her.. It’s on *CAIN* to prove that he didn’t.

Reader “Charles” left this comment on my post “Why Guys Catcall”:

Charles: “It’s the downside of the privileged position women occupy. The desired. The valued. Men have no street value, their bodies are not desired, in fact their nudity is considered visual assault. Catcalling may be a way for the oppressed to reclaim power and agency which the mating game forbids them.”

I know Charles personally, and I realize that he really enjoys debate and finding the political significance in just about ANY scenario, haha, but he brings up a valid and important point.

Women complain, as they very well should, that guys that they don’t feel like hooking up with approach them without invitation and discuss whatever type of sex they want to have with her or try to get a date or just tell her how sexy she looks today. That’s now known as Street Harassment. At the same time, the alternate reality of the vast majority of men needs to be considered as well, which is that women *NEVER* approach them and suggest sex. o_O

Privilege Of Desirability

The way the dating game works is that guys chase girls. Period.

Cavemen have been slandered since…. well.. since the caveman days (and their talking pet dinosaurs) for hitting women over the head with a club and dragging them back to the cave for definitelty sex and probably procreation because it wasn’t until The Roman Empire that anyone was looking for a pack of Trojans:

Club or no club.. How many stories are there in history of women pressing up on men to get sex?

Zero.

Similarly.. How many brothels are there where women can walk in the door, select a guy to have sex with and make that happen, so long as she has the ducats in her pocket?

Relative to locations where men can purchase sex from women?… Zero.

What does this have to do with catcalling?… In general, if a guy doesn’t attempt to get sex from a female, it’s not going to happen at all. If he doesn’t throw his hat in the ring and put in his two cents when he sees her looking good, he’s not likely to get laid by her.

Meanwhile, all women have to do is go outside, and some guy’s going to want to tap that. While this is perceived as a nuisance to a lot of women because they feel negatively about being seen as a sex object, it’s also the Privilege of Desirability.

Women are seen as valuable, right out the gate. The vast majority of men, as Charles points out, have no street value. This is why The Game is skewed in favor of the women, whose job it is to lay back and receive from whichever of their myriad suitors they select. Meanwhile, a guy has to put in A. LOT. OF. WORK. if he wants to attract even ONE female, much less maintain her sexual interest in him.

On top of that, if a guy demonstrates an inability (or lack of desire) to focus on only one woman, he gets low-rated, as if there’s something wrong with him or his brain doesn’t work properly or he hasn’t “grown up” yet or he’s still a “boy” and not a “man”… *YAWN* The whole situation is geared towards the (worthless) male demonstrating why the (valued) female should bless him with her presence at the very least, her time, attention, conversation, and way down the line, physical, sexual interest.

Personal Value

This is the genesis of buying women drinks that haven’t demonstrated ANY value to you whatsoever. You automatically go in the hole (no pun intended) for spending your hard-earned cash on someone that you probably won’t end up hooking up with, might not even end up as friends with and MIGHT receive a fake number from after she consumes the alcohol you bought her because you’re a sucker and you don’t value yourself enough to walk up to a woman on equal ground, say “Hello” and see what happens.

Do you think women buy other women drinks in order to talk to them? Nope. They just….. TALK! :D

Have you ever seen that in your life?.. I mean, aside from being in that kind of bar when it’s women’s jobs to kick it to women. Have you *EVER* seen a woman attempt to bribe another woman for a few minutes of conversation? I know I haven’t.

I’ve never seen them bribe men either. I get bought drinks by women all the time, but that’s because we know each other and I’ve already demonstrated value to them. This is because women know that the gift that they’re bringing to the scenario is……. THEMSELVES! and not only don’t they have to spend money on you, but several minutes into the conversation, you’re extremely likely to reciprocate and offer her a refill of whatever she’s drinking in exchange for the gift of her presence, attention and loveliness.

So, while I disagree with Charles’ “blah blah oppressed regain power blah blah blah”, the fact of the matter is that if you don’t enjoy the privilege of desirability, you know damned well that if you don’t try to kick game to this chick that you’re standing next to on the street corner, she’s about a gazillion percent unlikely to turn to you and say “Hey.. You’re looking good. Let’s go hook up! >:D”

Having said that… There are definitely guys that utilize Street Harassment in an obviously-ridiculous, intimidating, advantage-taking fashion, which isn’t cool at all. :/ This would be these bum-ass dudes that know they don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting a date from a particular chick, much less sex, yet they still insist on making comments to her when they pass each other on the street or get stuck next to each other in a crowded subway car.

There are also the guys that have become jaded due to their lack of desirability (for whatever reason.. lack of looks, money, humor, nice car or apartment, ability to articulate properly…) who only speak up because they know this gal isn’t going to stop and talk to them, so why not say something potentially degrading to her because this is the only chance they’ll have at catching any recreation with a female. That’s another completely wack state of mind for a guy to have.

Field Of Dreams

This brings us to another reader comment on the same article:

I don’t think it’s about “entitlement to women” so much as a recognition of The Game.

The options for a guy, whether he stands a chance of hooking up with the woman he’s targeting or not, are to try to MAKE something happen or to ALLOW absolutely nothing to happen. The odds are completely and entirely stacked against anything sexual occurring that a female initiated.

Put it this way.. Let’s say that restaurants weren’t compelled to sell you food if you had the money to buy it. You could walk into a store with $100 in your pocket and they would refuse to sell you a $6 meal unless you specifically requested it. Since you entered the restaurant with the intention of eating, you have two choices, flag them down and tell them what you want, or starve, because all the other restaurants have the same policy.

Since your goal isn’t to starve, you’re likely to tell the cashier or waitress what you want.

Similarly, since guys don’t have the goal of NOT having sex with women they think are physically attractive, their options are to see what they can do or let it slide. It’s not that they feel entitled to the female. In fact, if men felt entitled to women, there wouldn’t be any catcalling at all. What do you say when you want to drink some water from your own refrigerator or from the tap on your sink? Nothing. You’re entitled to it. You want water? You drink it. There’s nothing to discuss.

It’s actually the LACK OF ENTITLEMENT that spurs on catcalling. What’s that construction worker going to get when he goes home? Nothing. He might pass by a bar after work and try to pull chicks or he might go to the strip joint, but for the most part, his entire interaction with women is yelling at the ones that pass the construction site. Same thing with dudes that stand around kicking it to females in the street. If they had anything better to do, they’d be doing it.

So, the reason why men don’t care about how their catcalls make women feel is that it’s not more important than getting laid. If you don’t say anything, she’s not going to offer sex to you. If you say something she doesn’t like, she’s not going to hook up with you. If you say something she likes, you have a chance.

There are lots of guys that care whether what they say to women makes them feel good or bad. There are lots of guys that refuse to catcall at all, because they think it’s a low-class thing to do, or it’s not their personal style. Since guys are forced to be the aggressors due to the uneven playing field for women & men when it comes to perceived desirability, how she feels about what you want may not register at all. If it IS considered, it’s most likely written off as collateral damage because if you’re trying to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs.

In fact, if the playing field WERE even, I think catcalling would disappear entirely amongst desirable males. The disgruntled dudes will still talk yang because their goal isn’t to achieve the impossible and pull the girl.. it’s just to have SOME kind of interaction with her before she disappears and they never see her again, even if that’s just that the guy said something and the gal heard what he said.

The guys who girls actually like wouldn’t have any time for or interest in catcalling because they’d be too busy hooking up with girls that had stopped them on the street, told them how good they looked, gave him their contact information and invited him over for sex.

I immediately landed on a series of posts entitled “The Great Catcalling Experiment”, and of course, The Kid was like awwwwwww here we GO!!! :D

I thought I’d comment on some excerpts from Jess’ series…..

“Jezebel just posted an article analyzing CNN’s lovely story entitled, “Catcalls – Creepy or Complimentary?” Hey, CNN – allow me to answer that question for you, since as a PYT living in New York, I am constantly the victim of bordering-on-sexual-harassment-catcalls.”

I’ll assume that PYT stands for “Pretty, Young Thing”, derived from Michael Jackson’s record. If it’s something else, someone let me know! :D

“Not only is it creepy, but it’s objectifying and downright annoying. I have never once stopped in my tracks, looked at my perp in the eye, sincerely thanked him and then handed him my number.”

“So why do men continue to catcall?”

Personally, I don’t indulge… but I see why a lot of guys do it. We’ll get to that later. :)

I don’t bother with catcalling because a) it doesn’t work, and b) it totally goes against my personal style. If you tell a chick how fine she is the first time you ever lay eyes on her walking down the street, you already gave your entire game away. You don’t have any leverage, because she knows you’re sweating her. It’s a Cro-Mag move, and really base… simplistic. If that’s how you want to present yourself to a chick you’re tryinna kick it to, be my guest. :D

Actually, I shouldn’t say it DOESN’T work… It’s actually a low-percentage play. IF the chick likes you, AND she doesn’t penalize you for your primitive tactics, you can get on. Quick & Dirty. Done Deal. If she doesn’t like you, no dice. If she liked you until you opened your mouth, no dice. What’s immediately obvious, however, is that if she likes you already, your comment to her actually did you no good. You didn’t GAIN anything by catcalling her (catcalling AT her?), and could have still pulled the digits if you hadn’t said anything at all… OR if you had said something decent or respectful, such as “hello”.

“Is it in their genes? Is it a cultural thing, since many of the men who vocalize appreciation for my “beauty” tend to be Hispanic and African American? (Though, yeah, some are white – and many of them are asshole Wall Street guys).”

hehehe This is a good question. Having met Jess in person, her results are going to be skewed because of her body type. In General, hispanic and black guys are going to be more physically attracted to her and white guys are going to be less physically attracted to her.

Having said that, I think that guys, black, white or otherwise will be more apt to catcall if they’ve experienced success with that tactic in the past, so I think it’s less “cultural” and more “situational”. Also, a lot of the white guys in NYC are imports. They’re not FROM NYC. They’re not used to walking past 8 or 9 girls on one block that they’d hook up with, so they never developed any street game. Some guys don’t even feel like talking to chicks in the street is appropriate at all. :D

“It’s a feminist issue, but it’s also a human issue. Why have so many women simply accepted this kind of harassment as part of the female job description?”

Partially, because women can’t win this situation. If you keep walking, he “wins”, or at least, he didn’t lose anything, because you would have kept walking anyway if he hadn’t tried to “throw his hat in the ring” (unless you were into him until he catcalled, as I explained earlier). If you stop and talk to him, he wins. That’s what he wanted. Even if you react negatively towards him, he’s still getting your time and attention and he doesn’t care what you think anyway, so all you’re doing by talking to him is giving him a chance to try to get on.

Of course, I’m talking about non-workplace situations.

“It doesn’t matter what I’m wearing, either. I’ve been hit on on my way home from the gym, red-faced, pony-tailed, wearing sweats and coated in a sheet of sweat (er, excuse me – glistening).”

Already covered => “Does it matter what women think?”. Basically, what you think of YOUR looks / attire has ZERO bearing on HIS interest in you. Also, your lack of indication that you want him (or anyone) to talk to you is completely irrelevant.

The entire point is Desire Fulfillment. His.

“This initial graph shows that the majority of men actually did want to pursue something with me beyond catcalling, which was… unexpected, especially considering it’s strange that they would use such a relatively offensive method of catching my attention if they actually wanted to go on a date with me. Or maybe they were caught off guard since I’m sure they never get a positive response from the women they verbally harass. Upon approaching them, they appeared rather flustered but still semi-confident. I gave them each fake phone numbers. Sorry, boys.”

This is why I mentioned success rates and “street game” earlier. Catcalling isn’t a “Never” proposition… it’s only “Low Percentage”. You can definitely get on with catcalling, and there are guys that do it all the time, I’m sure. My point earlier was that they don’t actually NEED to catcall, because the only reason they’d be successful is if the chick was already attracted to them.

The fact remains that there are gals that respond to catcalling AND will give it up relatively quickly thereafter…. um…. actually, that’s probably one of the benefits, hahaha. If you can pick her up by yelling at her in the street, she should be an easy lay. It’s kind of like a poor way to weed out chicks that you might have to put in some work to get. :)

“Woo! I don’t know if it’s the impending heatwave or the fact that I’m wearing a belted t-shirt as a dress, but every construction worker and his brother-in-law wanted to bang this hot mami this morning. Or, so they verbalized.”

“An anonymous commenter brought up the excellent point that just because the men positively embrace my response to their jeers, it does not mean they want to date me. Instead, it probably means they just want to fuck me.”

The difference being……..?

“So now we will operate under the premise that when they ask for my phone number they are simply trying to get in my pants.”

ummm….. Of Course. That’s all that’s going on. Guys are taking shots in the dark at getting laid.

There’s an endless supply of chicks in this town. By one report, there are 210,820 excess single women in NYC. This means that when it comes to kicking game, women are completely expendable. You can ruin a rap to 50 chicks every single day and NEVER run out of chicks to meet in this town that have never seen you before in their lives. I met Jess approximately 12 hours ago, read her blog this morning and blogged about it this afternoon. I met chicks the day before yesterday, and I’m going to meet more today. :D

The point is that catcalling is a last ditch effort, even if a lot of guys use it as their first attempt at kicking it to a chick. It’s low percentage, but it doesn’t matter if you burn that bridge. There are another couple of hundred thousand chicks to try to get on with before the end of the construction day.

“… If any fellow catcallers and readers of Jess and Josh want to take on this task and report back, we would be very grateful. Otherwise, I guess we’ll all have to keep on wondering… why men do the things they do zomg lolz.”

I think by now, I’ve gone over the basic points. When it comes to trying to get laid in a city with an endless supply of females, taking shots in the dark is a low-percentage play that MIGHT score you a chick that will give it up quick. Even if she hates you after the fact, it’s irrelevant, because there are another 210,000 of her that you haven’t offended yet. On top of that, there are women that will take ANY showing of attention from a guy as a compliment, due to an extreme lack of self-esteem. With so many extra females, every so often, you’re bound to run into one that’s tired of not getting some herself, and is susceptible to hooking up with some guy that catcalled her for her own personal pleasure.

As far as “dating”… Dating is just setting up opportunities to get laid, so we end up back at the nitty-gritty. He doesn’t care what you say. He doesn’t care what you think. He DOES care what you look like and that he’s physically turned on by you, and decides to utilize his primitive skillz to try to pick up women on the fly.

It doesn’t matter that you’re dressed in sweats and a hoodie. It doesn’t matter that you didn’t look at him or say anything to him to indicate that you wanted to be rapped to……

Having said all that… :D

I was chatting with Lux earlier, and her take is that catcalling isn’t really about sex… it’s about power.

That’s a discussion for another day. All I can express is the point of view of someone that knows professional catcallers and has the opportunity to catcall chicks every day. I opt out, because it’s low-percentage as well as low-brow. Catcalling usually indicates either desperation or disrespect. Neither one is good. :D

There are classier ways to throw your hat in the ring when you’re crossing a woman’s path that you’ll never see again in this city of millions.
