“OMG STFU” stands for Oh my God… Shut The **** UP!!! :(

This is how you feel when someone runs their mouth about something they shouldn’t have.

I saw this video on one of my Facebook Friends‘ walls just now:

First of all, I’d like to say that this isn’t a Male -> Female thing. This goes in both directions. I’m talking about relationships and interactions between people in general, not something specifically about women.

In the video, this dude is being interviewed by video paparazzi and his wife is standing next to him.

*NOBODY* is talking to his wife.

*NOBODY* asks his wife any questions.

The paparazzo asks the dude whether he puts his own posters on the walls (which is probably illegal, yet also probably an aspect of this guy’s “street cred” persona).

Unfortunately for him, he feels comfortable taking a sip of his drink right after the dude asks him the question, so for SOME. ODD. REASON… His wife.. Whom *NOBODY* was speaking to AT ALL (The question was “Do you ever do that, yourself?”, indicating that the paparazzo was speaking TO the guy he was interviewing) goes:

“A long time ago.”

*Needle scratching on record sound*

OMG STFU

Now.. This was a clear and egregious violation by his wife.

Unless dude had hired her as his Public Relations Agent (which, clearly, he didn’t, by his reaction to her statement and her reaction to his reaction) she needs to STFU and mind her own business when he’s talking to the press.

Before y’all females start hopping up and down, protesting, let’s consider if the paparazzi had been interviewing HER! o_O

• Paparazzo: “So, [wife's name]… How’s your sex life?”
• Wife: *Takes a sip of her drink*
• Husband: “Well… She has a really nice ass, see… You can’t tell, because of the baggy jeans she wears, but it’s really sweet, so I like to hit it from the back, which used to give her rug burns on her knees, so we bought this special carpet for the living room floor, because I rarely **** her in an actual bed, and…”
• Wife: “OMG!!! STFU!!! :(“

Not so cool for someone to jump into a conversation that didn’t involve them *NOW*, is it? >:D

So the next thing that happens is that the drone media dude says that the husband “freaks out”, so I’m expecting him to FLIP on her, right?… This is what happened:

• Husband: “Wha… What are you do… Don’t answer stuff… please.”

• Wife: “ok.”
• Husband: “JESUS! :/”
• Wife: “…”
• Husband: “What is your problem? :/ You’re not stupid.”
• Wife: (to paparazzo) “No.. We can’t.. Really…”

Now, that was nowhere near a “freak out”, especially considering her violation of putting his personal business in the streets.

I do have to say, however.. That this was partially.. In fact, *MOSTLY* his fault.

If you have a social media image to maintain, it’s YOUR JOB to make sure that your inner circle is properly briefed and ready, willing and able to do the right thing when the time comes. He obviously didn’t prep his wife properly, so he got what he got. She ran her mouth, and he ended up on TMZ.

After she’s already screwed up is *NOT* the time to discuss her screwup. Prevention.. Not Cure. There *IS* no cure. Prevention negates the necessity for a cure.

If someone’s asking about me, you have no information. Your response is “You’re going to have to ask HIM about that”. You don’t have to lie and say you don’t know. It’s MY business, not YOURS. Stay out of it by not participating in discussions about me.

Simultaneously, you receive the same basic and proper courtesy from me. I’m not going to put your business in the street. If you don’t put your own posters up around the city or you don’t write your own blog posts or you like doggie-style except for the rug burns, that’s *YOUR* business. It’s not MY business to tell.

Play Your Position

Of course, the drone media chick goes “That’s a ____ move, anyway, to do that to your wife in front of cameras. You don’t admonish her on a national level.. That’s awful! :(”

Can we get a sound bite about how she told on him for not putting up his own posters ON A NATIONAL LEVEL, which is why she got TOLD THE **** OFF? o_O

I personally wouldn’t have done it the way he did it, however I’ve never *HAD* TO do it like that, because chicks that know me are hip to the Cones of Silence, and they wouldn’t put my personal business out there to begin with.

Edit: There WAS one situation where I got caught out there like this, when I was hanging out with a new chick, and I didn’t expect anything interesting to happen while she was around, so I failed to inform her that all the pictures she was taking would need to go through an approval process before being posted.

I always check with people on the spot when we take pictures together to make sure everyone likes how they look, and if anybody disapproves, we take more pictures until we get it right.

So, when she posted them the next morning, I had to hustle and tell her to IXNAY on the ICSPAY because the situation had evolved from a General Audiences rating to personal, off-the-record interaction, and I hadn’t explained #NOBLOG to her yet. >:D

What he SHOULD have done is whispered all that stuff in her ear, so she understood to STFU and not spill any more beans or tip any more waiters. If I didn’t tell you to tell somebody something, keep it to yourself. If it’s your business, and it has nothing to do with me, scream it from the highest social media mountaintop! :D

If nobody’s talking to you, play your position.

This isn’t “Jeopardy”. This isn’t “Wheel of Fortune”. This isn’t “Press Your Luck”. You don’t get any points for answering trivia questions about me.

If someone asks me “Do you know a chick named Lux? o_O”, let me answer or not answer my own damned question! :D .. It’s nor your job to go “Oh yeah!.. He knows Lux! :D .. They were hanging out together at the 2011 blip.tv & Collective Digital Studio Party and she appears in his Facebook Avatars from time to time, and there are a bunch of pictures of them together over the last four years, including a rooftop pool party back in 2007!!! :D”

Mind. Your. Own. Business!!! :D

If I feel like saying I know Lux and she’s given me permission to say that I know her, then *I’M* going to decide how to answer that question.. Not you.

#NOBLOG Status

I discussed this in last year’s “#NOBLOG Status” article.

The Phrase That Pays is “Pics.. Or It Didn’t Happen.”

The converse, of course, being to deliberately NOT publicize something via social media because it’s not for public consumption.

It’s my opinion that without #NOBLOG, people would never really get to know each other on a deep and important level.

If I have to worry about you runnin’ yo mouf as soon as TMZ shows up, or even worse, I can expect for you to put my business on BLAST to our 200 mutual Facebook Friends, I’m not TELLING YOU anything important at all, and I’m CERTAINLY NOT going to be *DOING* anything with you! :D

This is why it’s dude’s fault for not properly prepping his wife about what she’s allowed to talk about and what she’s not allowed to talk about.

By the time you select a chick to be your wife……. By the time you select a chick to be your girlfriend or even a close platonic friend, she’s got to be down for you and you’ve got to be down for her. It’s that simple.

If you know that it’s important to your public image for you to be perceived as someone that puts his own posters up, you tell your wife in private (hopefully, not right after you finished hittin’ that, because her brain isn’t working properly and won’t absorb the information correctly) that if anybody asks if you put up your own posters, the answer is “YES!”.

If she’s not smart enough to remember that or she’s not willing to back your play, then you LIE TO HER every once in a while, grab a bunch of posters, and walk out the door, saying “I’ll be back in a few hours, honey… I’m heading out to plaster my own posters all over the city… Don’t wait up! :D” and then you go hang out with the fellaz or your other girlfriends or whatever you have going on in your life, so when the paparazzi ask YOU about it and you go for a sip of your soda, she blurts out THE RIGHT THING instead of THE WRONG THING (read: The Truth).

If you can’t be trusted to keep your mouth shut, you’re only going to receive the same information the general public receives. If you refuse to respect #NOBLOG, you won’t be invited to the next event.

If you’re not smart enough to recognize that someone’s talking TO ME and not TO YOU, then you won’t be walked around with.. Capisce? >:D

I mean.. Say what you want about Arnold’s Maid, but she held the line for 14 YEARS, SUNNN!!! :D hahaha Now *THAT’S* some SECRET-KEEPING!!! >:D

“Mind Your Own Business” was the lesson of the day on this week’s “Jersey Shore”. :D

There are eight housemates. 4 guys and 4 gals.

Guys: Ronnie, Mike, Pauly, Vinny

Gals: Sammi, Jenni, Nicole, Angelina

Ronnie is dating Sammi. Nicole is dating some guy you hear on the telephone. Jenni and Angelina appear to be dating nobody.

The other three guys are MVP (Mike, Vinny, Pauly) and they’re Free Agent Hunters. They pull whatever chicks they can on any given day.

Ronnie

Ronnie would actually be the King of the Hunters, except he sold out to Sammi.

Ronnie utilized play #A-1 in the handbook and told Sammi “I love you”, guaranteeing easy sex whenever he wanted it or whenever he struck out at the club or didn’t pull a hawter chick.

Unfortunately, that play also makes you susceptible to the female thinking that she can tell you what you can and can’t do with your life, so Sammi laid down the law and Ronnie’s restrictions included (but were not limited to):

• Talking to other girls
• Holding Hands with other girls
• Getting Numbers from other girls
• Dancing with other girls
• Grinding with other girls
• Drinking Alcohol off the bodies of other girls
• Making Out with other girls
• Having Sex with other girls

What this meant, of course, was… nothing at all.

So long as Sammi wasn’t there to see it, Ronnie was doing anything he felt like doing.

He was fine with “Creeping”, as they call it (Thanks to reader Nikki for the authentication) because he was hangin’ out with MVP and Bros Before Hoes was in FULL EFFECT, BOYEEEE!!! >:D

Unfortunately, Angelina was there also. Even though the other three girls didn’t like her this season OR last season, she still felt loyalty to them and told Ronnie she was going to rat him out to Sammi.

Ronnie promptly threatened her and that was the end of her thoughts about snitching.

The Secret Everybody Knows

So now, everything was locked down. Out of the 8 house members, 5 of them knew Ronnie was playing Sammi dirty. The four guys weren’t going to say anything because they expected the same courtesy if THEY had been the ones gettin’ some on the side.

Besides the fact that they’re all friends, they were depending on each other to work as a unit to pull girls, so making themselves pariahs by ratting out a fellow Hunter was clearly not in their best interests.

Guys that know how to pull girls are also very good at making sure that YOU don’t pull any girls by lying and saying that you have wives and kids and diseases and whatnot, so it’s best to stay on the players’ good sides even if you don’t like them as people or agree with their methods or tactics.

Instead of taking the Angelina situation as a sign that he needed to tighten his game up and keep his business ‘out the street’, Ronnie decided it would be fun to brag to Jenni about what he was doing with other girls.

Under normal circumstances, this would have been a good idea because Jenni’s pretty much like a dude in that she can listen to what Ronnie’s saying, laugh about it, give him a pound (dap, handshake, hi-five) and keep it to herself as if she never heard it.

“Normal Circumstances” would be when the girls that you’re close to and are actually friends with DO NOT LIVE WITH AND SPEND TIME WITH the girl(s) you’re using as backup, fail-safe sex. “Normal” would ALSO be when nothing you did was going to be captured on videotape so that the Easy Sex girl could watch it and find out that her supposed homegirls let her get used the entire time and never told her.

So now, 6 people out of 8 know what time it is… Everybody except Nicole and the victim, Sammi.

Jenni informs Mike that Ronnie told her that he had been creeping. This causes Mike to feel free to spill ALLLLLL of the beans about what Ronnie’s been doing every time the girls aren’t around. This had two MAJOR effects. Now, it was on videotape that Jenni knew that Ronnie didn’t dis Sammi just once, but basically every chance he got. Also, Mike didn’t check whether Nicole had known, which she didn’t, so now 7 out of 8 people in the house knew Sammi was getting played.

Once Nicole found out, she stepped to Ronnie and said she was going to snitch. Ronnie threatened her with lying to her boyfriend and saying she was ho-ing in Miami and that was the end of that. >:D

So here’s the lineup at this point:

• Ronnie: Perp = Silent
• Mike: Guy = Silent
• Pauly: Guy = Silent
• Vinny: Guy = Silent
• Jenni: Trustable Female = Silent
• Angelina: Threatened = Silent
• Nicole: Threatened = Silent
• Sammi: Victim = Clueless

This is where it all fell apart because of the unusual circumstances. Nicole started feeling guilty about condoning Ronnie’s actions as well as supporting & enabling them by not telling Sammi what she knows. Jenni didn’t want to look bad on videotape when the show actually aired as someone who let her supposed homegirl get used.

Everybody else was cool with it.

The Letter

So.. The brainiac solution that Nicole & Jenni came up with was to type up an “anonymous” letter to Sammi, snitching on everything that Ronnie did behind her back. Even more intelligently, they decided to leave the letter in her drawer, clearly indicating that one of the 8 roommates placed it there.

hmmmmmmm… Let’s see if we can figure out who might have left that letter…

• Ronnie: Victim = Nope
• Mike: Guy = Nope
• Pauly: Guy = Nope
• Vinny: Guy = Nope
• Jenni: Friend of Sammi = Maybe
• Angelina: Enemy of Sammi = Maybe
• Nicole: Friend of Sammi = Maybe
• Sammi: Recipient = Nope

So.. Their “anonymous” letter wasn’t very anonymous, was it? :D All they really did was implicate either one, two or all three of the girls in the house as having ratted out Ronnie. They counted on there being 7 suspects, but there were only 3.

They also thought they were going to be slick because Angelina was the only girl that actually SAW Ronnie hooking up with multiple chicks at the first club. In fact, this was the excuse that Jenni used to say that she didn’t write the letter. How would SHE know what happened at that club when she went home in the same cab with Sammi and Nicole before any of it happened?

Unfortunately, although that cleared her with Sammi, she wasn’t clear from Ronnie because he knew that a) he told Jenni himself and b) he had already threatened Angelina. It got even worse for Jenni because she had dictated the letter to Nicole, and included the word “wisely”, which Ronnie happens to know isn’t included in Nicole’s vocabulary.

Also, Jenni should have known she was going to have to take the blame for this letter because she was the only female that hadn’t been threatened. Ronnie considered her trustworthy, so he had told her about his hookups himself. Angelina & Nicole were both on notice. Regardless of whomever TYPED the note (Nicole), nothing was going to happen at all without Jenni backing the play.

On top of that, the scapegoat lived with them too. You can’t say “It must have been Angelina because she was the only one that could have seen Ronnie at the first club” and not expect Sammi to step to Angelina and say “I think you wrote it because this and that”.

As soon as Angelina would have been under pressure, she would have known that Sammi was going to tell Ronnie she thought Angelina was the culprit, which lines her up for the retribution that Ronnie promised her if she snitched. Threatened with that, she’s going to say “Nope.. It wasn’t me, but they told me they were both going to do it together” because it’s better to have Jenni & Nicole mad at her than having Ronnie mad at her for thinking she went back on their arrangement.

Best Laid Plans

So now, let’s see how this plan worked out as far as how Ronnie and Sammi feel about each of their roommates…

So… If Jenni & Nicole would have minded their own business, Sammi would have been cool with them for the entire show and then mad at them after she saw the tape. Meanwhile, Ronnie would have been cool with them for the entire show and then cool with them after he saw the tape.

After they pulled this stunt, Ronnie’s mad at Jenni & Nicole for snitching and Sammi’s mad at Jenni and Nicole for having information about what Ronnie had been doing for so long without telling her.

On top of that.. BOTH Ronnie & Sammi are mad at them for not fessing up that they did it. All 6 of the other housemates are claiming they had no knowledge of Ronnie’s actions AND they’re all claiming that they didn’t type up and hand-deliver this message to her drawer inside a secured MTV filming location.

What SHOULD they have done? \o/

Unfortunately, Jenni & Nicole were in the bad position of being similarly friendly with both people in a relationship. Normally, people are more friendly with one person than the other one so the choice is clear. Let’s look at what would have happened under normal circumstances:

Mike, Pauly & Vinny would have stayed shut because Bros Before Hoes.

Jenni would have stayed shut because she’s cool like that and wouldn’t have had “looking bad on television” looming over her and influencing her decisions.

Both Angelina and Nicole would have agreed not to rat on Ronnie when they were talking to him in the club and then she would have told Sammi as soon as they were physically clear of Ronnie (not living in the same house).

Being that they WERE all stuck in the same house together, Jenni and Nicole should have realized that you have to choose a side and stick with your decision.. ride it out.

Guilt

As soon as Ronnie told Jenni what he did and she didn’t go straight to Sammi, Jenni was guilty in this scenario. As soon as Nicole heard from Mike what Ronnie did and didn’t go straight to Sammi, Nicole was guilty in this scenario. “I told you eventually, after Ronnie ****** you several times, but still, I told you before the entire show finished filming” doesn’t absolve you from anything at all.

Both gals stated that their reasons for telling Sammi what was happening was that they would have hoped if it had been THEIR boyfriends that had been cheating, their homegirls would have told them. Also, they said they didn’t want to hurt her, lose her friendship and look like they never told her…

THEN… After Sammi found the letter, neither Jenni nor Nicole wanted to LOOK LIKE THEY TOLD HER. O_o .. They both DENIED being the one that wrote the letter. What sense does that make? :D

For That, they could have stayed shut… Ronnie could have kept hooking up with girls at the club and then coming home to hop in bed with Sammi and the girls would have looked poorly in Sammi’s eyes when they finally saw the show. Their plan failed to make them look good in ANY light and the only chance they had to stand up and say “We wanted to tell you, Sammi. You’re our friend and you didn’t deserve the treatment you were getting! :O”, they both elected to say “Nope!.. Wasn’t me!”.

M.Y.O.B.

Sometimes, it’s best to Mind Your Own Business. If you can’t do that, the time to speak up about something is when you find out about it. If you’re not going to speak up, then just go with the flow and recognize that you’ve been dragged into something you’d rather not be involved in.

As soon as Ronnie told Jenni what he did and she laughed about it with him, Sammi was going to see that on the tape. As soon as Mike told Jenni all the rest of the stuff that Ronnie did, that was on tape too. Even the times they THOUGHT about telling her, yet didn’t, went right on the tapes. At some point, there’s no way to absolve yourself from being labeled an accomplice. Refusing to own up to writing the letter is only going to make you look WORSE and not better.

If you find yourself in a situation where you’re about to learn more about a situation between two people than you’re comfortable with knowing, you essentially have three choices:

1) Don’t get involved at all and walk away when people are talking about other people.

2) Decide you’re going to keep the secret and take the hit when/if the person it’s about finds out that you knew and didn’t tell them.

3) Decide you’re going to snitch and take the hit when/if the person it’s about names YOU as the source of the information.

As soon as you decide you’re going to hear the information, you need to accept the fact that somebody’s going to be mad at you if you admit knowing about it at all. It might even be BOTH PEOPLE. In this case, Sammi’s so stuck on being in a relationship with Ronnie that she’s already doing her wishy-washy style of saying “IT’S OVER” and then discussing “it” more. She’ll probably end up mad at Jenni for making her fully aware that her man isn’t following the rules she laid down for him. Whether she sees reality or believes her own fantasy, she apparently has no intention of stopping hooking up with Ronnie (well, at least until she sees the actual tapes of how he was gettin’ biz at the clubS! HAHAHA), so all that letter did was make her aware that everybody else was aware that she intends to remain firmly perched atop Ronnie’s DILZNICK, regardless.

“Never argue with a woman” is advice that’s been handed down from men to boys from generation to generation. This is because guys never figured out how to WIN the arguments. Well… The Kid‘s about to let you in on Secret Tip #1 on how to improve your success when you’re mentally jousting with a female! :D

I was reading Jess’ article, “On Pornography, Feminism and Women’s Desires”, and she says:

Jess: “Half the porn I watch strikes me as gross and vaguely disturbing because it is made by men for men.”

See that? This is the same problem that guys have when they’re discussing stuff with chicks. They act like they’re talking to another guy. Stop it. Your style, delivery and focus are as obvious as pornography is to a feminist.

If you think about that….. Porno is obviously made BY guys FOR guys. If it were made for women, the chicks in the movies wouldn’t be portrayed as vapid, brainless and only good for their looks, T&A, or because they’ll do stuff on camera that your current girlfriend won’t let you do to her IRL.

hmm… I think I’ll have to get into that sometime…… um… the CONVERSATION… not Pornography for Women! :D

Anywayyyyyyy…..

The point is… Arguing with a chick as if she’s a guy is just as useful as trying to make her feel sexy by sitting her down in front of a movie where the guy’s some HERO who bangs like 8 chicks in 25 minutes and all you hear from the females is “yes”, “uh-huh” and “PLEASE!”. You’re making things tougher for yourself rather than easier. Stop.

What you NEED to do is realize that women have special needs… such as feeling unique and feeling respected. You’ll notice that I didn’t say BEING unique and BEING respected. :)

BEING unique is demonstrating that she speaks five languages and has a PhD in physics, or she thinks up great business plans or philosophies, or that she’s an athlete or a stuntwoman…

FEELING unique is when you’re at the club and the DJ yells “THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR IF YOU’RE AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN”, and regardless of whether she’s successful at ANYTHING IN LIFE or not, every single chick starts screaming as if she’s the CEO of some successful startup, when in reality, she’s the CFO at McDonald’s.

Chief Fry Officer.

So that brings us to honorable Secret Tip #1 for arguing with women:

Make her FEEL LIKE she won the argument. :D

See that? See how simple? :D Just like the DJ ‘made’ that minimum wage burger-flipper feel special for that moment in time… that’s your goal when you’re arguing with a woman. Do whatever you were planning to do in the first place, but make sure she FEELS loved and FEELS respected and FEELS listened to by the end of the argument. Also, do what you can to make her believe that what you were going to do in the first place and never planned to change regardless of what she said is actually HER idea that SHE came up with during the argument! Bonus Points if you can pull THAT ONE off! :D

For example… Let’s say you play a whole hell of a lot of video games, and it’s getting on your girl’s nerves that you won’t waste an hour and a half watching “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” with her. Um… #*&% THAT! :D

So, Boom… Now she’s mad, and the argument jumps off. What YOU do… as an idiot (don’t feel sad… you’re not the only one), is you start arguing with her as if she’s a guy… DEFENDING your right to play video games. It’s your time and your money. You put the food on the table (unless you took Bill C.‘s advice last year and Married Rich!… in which case, you need to HOP-TO and stop wasting time reading my blog when you *NEED* to start cooking her dinner for when she gets home from work! :D ). You do chick-stuff with her, so now it’s time for some guy-stuff for YOU, and it’s time for her to bug off and mind her own business….. Oh… and… “Don’t let the door hit her where the Good Lord split her”.

So instead of that, argue with her as if she’s a woman. She doesn’t CARE that you’re playing video games. She CARES that you’re not paying attention TO HER. She CARES that she’s not “better” than HALO or SOCOM. She’s UPSET that you’re CHEATING ON HER with video games! :O

And this turns out to be the key to winning your argument. :D

Instead of defending your right to do what YOU want to do WHEN you want to do it… Make her aware that there are lots of guys that DON’T play video games for hours. What are they DOING for hours? Who Knows? :D CERTAINLY, their girlfriends or wives don’t know…… hehehe. ALLLLL of a sudden, your girl starts to see the merit in having you right there in the crib where she can see you. You’re not taking phone calls. You’re not texting a bunch of other chicks to meet you at the happy hour. You’re not screwing her sister. Playing video games is actually a testament to the strength of your relationship and how committed you are TO HER!

CHA-CHINGGGGGG! :D

You win the argument, because you keep playing your games, like you were going to do ANY OLD WAY… She wins the argument, because she feels better about herself as a person and she feels better about her relationship to you… AND you got the bonus points because NOW she feels like having you at home playing video games while she brings you brews is in HER best interest.

So now that you’ve handled your business PROPERLY, Not ONLY is she no longer mad about what she had claimed to be mad about before, but next thing you know, she bought you that new steering wheel and racing game that she knows you don’t already have… or even better… She’s bought herself the same system so she can put on HER headset, grab HER brew and make herself useful on the battlefield! YA HEARD??? :D
