<g:plusone size="tall" count="1" href="http://billcammack.com/2012/01/30/florida-republican-primary-predictions/"></g:plusone>

Long-time reader, and good friend of mine, “Fishingrod” asked me for my predictions for the Florida Republican Primary that’s coming up tomorrow (Tuesday).

In fact, I hadn’t even thought to write about it, because it’s hardly a “prediction”, as the situation has stabilized at this point, but let me talk about the WHY rather than the WHAT.

The order tomorrow is going to be Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Paul.

This is already evident by the polls, which have Romney leading Gingrich by anywhere between 5 and 20 percentage points, like meaning 43% Romney, 29% Gingrich.

Besides the polls, Florida allows its residents to vote early. The early voting reflects the current poll numbers… Already. :D

They haven’t even cast the first “real” vote, and Romney is already ahead by A LOT.

Meanwhile.. There is *ZERO* demonstrable difference between the Republican candidates on the most important topic, which is AMERICAN. JOBS. PERIOD!!!!

No difference at all. They all say the same thing. Less government. No rise in taxes for rich people. Fewer regulations on small businesses. Repeal ObamaCare so companies will feel confident to hire people in the near future.

That’s all well and good. That’s not even worth talking about, because they all say the exact same thing. Whether that would work or not is irrelevant. None of these candidates are offering anything that makes them stand out in the crowd, on the topic of jobs.

If you believe they do, feel free to leave a comment below, and we’ll discuss it. :D

All I know is that if *I* don’t know the difference between their job plans, the average American knows way less, Capisce? >:D

So.. If the nomination process isn’t being decided by “How is this man going to get *ME* a job and help me feed my family and keep my house?”, then what’s deciding it? o_O

Elections For Sale

The deciding factor in this nomination process is money. Period.

The more money you have, the more negative campaign ads you can run.. Like this one:

YouTube Link => youtu.be/CWKTOCP45zY

and this one:

YouTube Link => youtu.be/hRdqGKA782A

and this one:

YouTube Link => youtu.be/BLWnB9FGmWE

Negativity sways the opinion of a lot of people, which is why we’ve been seeing so much bitchassedness in this process (and any OTHER election process that ever goes in in the United States of America, Republican, Democrat or otherwise).

So, if Newton Leroy says “I can get the American people jobs by firing all the government workers so we don’t have to pay their salaries anymore and we can balance the budget! :D” and I say “Newton is a FREAK-BODY who has a history of screwing more than one female simultaneously, and, according to his ex wife who used to be his side-piece until he dumped his first wife for her, dude offered her an ‘open’ marriage including her, him and his current side-piece (whom he’s now married to) when they were already married! :O”, I win.

With no difference in our jobs policies, all I have to do is talk yang about the other candidate, and I win.

This is why CREAM in politics (Cash Rules Everything Around Me).

YouTube Link => youtu.be/bjZRAvsZf1g

Dolla Dolla Bill, Y’allll!!! >:D

If you have money, you can afford to send physical mail to everyone in creation so they have the forms they need to send in to vote early for you.

If you have money, you can afford to ring people’s phones all day and night with robo-calls, reminding them to vote for you.

If you have money, you can hire more people than your competitor can to do your bidding in any particular state.. In fact, While you’re campaigning in New Hampshire, you can pay people to campaign for you in Florida. Get the picture? :D

Meanwhile, every ounce of the next candidate’s resources are going into their current campaign in the current state. By the time they win or lose there and start heading to the next location, the candidate with more money already has a nice head start on the process, and has probably flown to that state a couple of times IN PERSON to glad-hand, kiss a few babies and pose for a few pictures.

Don’t Hate The Player

You will hear the pundits talk about “Game”.. Specifically, “Ground Game”. You have to have a ground game because someone from that area has to go around and collect signatures from people that say they want you to be on the ballot. This is why only Romney and Paul are on the ballot in Virginia, since Gingrich and Perry failed to submit enough valid signatures to qualify.

So if you can’t afford people to go get signatures for you, you don’t get on the ballot. If you don’t get on the ballot, you don’t get any votes. If you don’t get any votes, you don’t get any delegates. If you don’t have enough delegates, you aren’t nominated by your party.

Unfortunately for the final four, Florida is too large a state for your ground game to make a difference. You just literally can’t travel from spot to spot and make an appreciable impression on people. This is why Ron Paul isn’t there.

Paul knows that the only way you win Florida is through television advertisements (see above for examples, hehe). You can shake as many hands as you want, but most people are going to find out about you by watching television, as they always do, and having a commercial come on that tells them something about the current candidates.

Paul is saving is money.. Wisely.. Because Romney has already spent $16,000,000 USD on television ads smashing Gingrich, and Gingrich has spent something like $3,400,000 USD for airtime.

In case you can’t count, that reads SIXTEEN MILLION DOLLARS has been spent just to buy up television time that informs Florida voters what Romney’s team wants them to know… Which is that Gingrich sucks.

Thanks For The Ducats

To make matters worse.. There are these things called Political Action Committees, or PACs for short, and now, there are Super PACs.

Super PACs’ money could tip balance of power in Congress

The 2010 Supreme Court ruling that allows unlimited contributions by corporations and unions has already affected the 2012 presidential campaign. But it could play a larger part in the balance of power in Congress this fall.

Voters in three states have been bombarded with television and Web advertising, automated phone calls and direct mailing, most of it directed against a candidate rather than in support of one. And in Florida, which votes Tuesday, spending is going up by the day.

Spawned by a Supreme Court ruling that loosened restrictions on independent spending by corporations, unions and advocacy groups and by subsequent rulings by the Federal Election Commission, the outside groups have the ability to raise and spend unlimited amounts of money to advocate around hot-button political issues, like support for or opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline, and to support or oppose candidates for office.

The outside groups can do just about anything a campaign or political party can do, including voter registration efforts and sending direct-mail pieces or automated telephone calls that frequently fly under the national media’s radar, but don’t have the same financial limits and donor disclosure requirements that candidates’ campaigns do.

So.. Basically.. All that “Give $5 to help Obama get reelected” or “Donate $50 towards Buddy Roemer’s campaign” stuff is mainly symbolic now.

People are sending insane amounts of money to Super PACs to support their favorite candidates.. How much influence do you think *THAT* will buy if that person gets elected? o_O

Sheldon Adelson donates millions to support Gingrich

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A Las Vegas billionaire with ties to Newt Gingrich has given $5 million to an independent group backing the former House Speaker’s presidential bid.

A person familiar with the situation said casino mogul Sheldon Adelson made the contribution Friday to Winning the Future, a pro-Gingrich super PAC. The person said Adelson would spend heavily to assist whichever candidate wins the Republican nomination.

Adelson is a longtime supporter of GOP candidates and has been a friend and backer of Gingrich for many years.

Gingrich’s campaign has struggled since a super PAC supporting Mitt Romney spent $3 million on ads attacking him in Iowa.

The Washington Post first reported the $5 million contribution. Politico reported last month that Adelson was prepared to spend $20 million to help Gingrich.

See that? :D haha So you either get a million people to contribute $5 or one dude to contribute $5,000,000 and it’s the exact same amount of power to purchase the creation of and airtime for negative campaign advertisement against other candidates.

In fact, at the time of this printing, dude and his wife have dropped another $5M on Gingrich, already. :D

Shakeout

At this point, the situation has stabilized. The only thing we’re waiting for is for Santorum to quit.

Everybody else is in it for the long haul.

Paul is racking up delegates so he can have some props at the Convention, so he’s going to run in as many states as he can.

Gingrich has a billionaire for a Sugar Daddy, so he has no incentive to quit.

Romney has been the only real candidate this entire time, which I’ve SAID this entire time, so he should be in it all the way, instead of quitting, like he did in 2008.

So, it’s not really about “predictions” anymore.. It’s more like how the situation’s going to play itself out, like watching a cut-scene in a video game.

The next several states that vote are in the South. Gingrich will do well in the states where he can utilize his ground game. Romney will do well in the states where ground game can be nullified by incessant negative television attack ads. Santorum should suspend his campaign relatively soon, hopefully after Florida, because he’s strictly an 11% candidate unless he gets a religious endorsement from someplace like Iowa, where 57% of the people in the exit polls described themselves as Evangelical Christians.

Romney will do better when the vote goes back up North. Gingrich will do better when Santorum quits and stops splitting the Non-Romney, Not-Romney, or Anti-Romney vote.

So, the way I see it, this process should be a loooooong, drawn out process of getting delegates here and there, until Romney finally gets the 1214 that he needs to secure the Republican nomination.

By then, Newt Gingrich will have written the Democratic playbook for dismantling Mitt Romney’s candidacy.

He also will have created all the negative attack ads for free to Obama, since his team doesn’t have to spend any money researching, creating, airing, or measuring the efficacy of the ads.

Gingrich will also have set the stage for A LOT OF unforced verbal errors by Romney that Romney will be starring in his own attack ads, like at the end of this one, where Romney says “There are a lot of reasons not to elect me”:

YouTube Link => youtu.be/jVUQuJDEs04

So, the longer this goes on, the worse Romney looks, and the lower the chances become that Republicans will win the 2012 election.

Gingrich has now gone from calling Romney a Massachusetts Moderate to a Liberal.

Romney’s credibility (and he didn’t start out with much) with Conservatives is being eroded, daily.

That’s all that’s going to happen from now on. Gingrich and Romney are going to air incessant negative ads about each other until Romney makes his 1214 to secure the Republican nomination, and then he’s going to have to try to turn around and say “I was only kidding” to all the people he’s offended during the current process of pandering and demagoguery.

Demagogy (/ˈdɛməɡɒdʒi/[1]) or demagoguery (/ˈdɛməɡɒɡəri/[2]) (Ancient Greek: δημαγωγία, from δῆμος dēmos “people” and ἄγειν agein “to lead”) is a strategy for gaining political power by appealing to the prejudices, emotions, fears, vanities and expectations of the public—typically via impassioned rhetoric and propaganda, and often using nationalist, populist or religious themes. What qualifies as demagogy has been the subject of debate and ambiguity since Aristophanes first used the term, in reference to the Athenian statesman, Cleon.[citation needed]

Good Luck with sprinting back towards the center.. You’re gonna need it.

So I thought this was blatantly obvious, but let me get into it right quick, one time for the people. :D

Reasons

Men date because they want to have a good time and hook up with hawt chicks. Yes.. There are some guys that are looking for an exclusive girlfriend and some guys that are looking for one gal to have kids with and to marry and yadda yadda.

For the most part, guys are adding something to their lives that they want but they don’t necessarily need.

Meanwhile, women date because they want to secure a guy that’s going to make their life worth living. The common term is something like “I could do BAD on my own! :/”. The indication here is that adding a guy into her life is supposed to make it significantly better, or why should she be involved with him at all? o_O

I mean.. Not only is he supposed to listen to how her day was, but he’s supposed to tap that proppah AND bring her PIZZA to boot! :O .. I mean, C’MON, SUNN!!! :/ What’s *SHE* supposed to be doing while this dude’s doing EVERYTHING in the relationship?

Anyway… Because guys and gals have different reasons for dating, guys have an increasingly significant advantage on the dating scene as we get older.

Money

Supposedly, the older you get, the more money you have. The more money you have, the easier it is to pull chicks, because you can live in the fly house or own the yacht or sportscar or the fancy clothes, watches, jewelry, whatever that gets females to flock to you to attempt to use you for your money and give up sex in the process. Done Deal! :D

Meanwhile, having more money does women NO GOOD, WHATSOEVER! :D hehe Nobody cares if y’all have money or not. We care if we feel turned on by being around you. Your best bet is to use your money for Gym subscriptions and keep that body in shape where we feel like tappin’ that.

Other than that, if you’re rich as hell and you look busted, you’re not going to get the first look at the bar. It’s just not gonna happen. \o/

So guys get an advantage in dating the more money we have. Women do not.

Looks

Guys select women by looks. Don’t be fooled. Yes, it’s true that I believe that PERSONALITY is the deciding factor if a guy’s going to get into a LTR with a gal, but the fact of the matter is that if he doesn’t feel like looking at you, he’s not going to approach you in the first place to find out what your personality’s like.

Meanwhile… Women select men based on emotional and support issues. The guy still has to look DECENT in order for her to give him a shot, but an unattractive guy that has a mansion and a yacht will STILL be able to pull some sort of gold-digger female to share his wealth with him in exchange for hooking him up with “Happy Endings”.

The ability to look good decreases as people age. The ability to emotionally and financially support someone does not. Once again, guys have an advantage as we age because we become in demand by MORE females while the women become in demand by FEWER males.

Personality

Guys and gals get over with poor personalities when we’re young because everybody’s trying to get something from the other person and we’re willing to endure wack personalities as long as we can in order to receive the benefits from spending time with them.

This doesn’t work out so well for women as they age, for the reasons stated above. The more y’all’s looks diminish, the less guys are willing to put up with crabby attitudes. The ROI just isn’t there. :D It’s better to either spend time with a different mediocre-looking chick that’s a nice person and fun to hang out with or meet a different crabby chick that’s hawt to death and we don’t mind how much of a JERK she is because we enjoy hooking up with her.

Meanwhile.. If a guy’s personality isn’t top-of-the-line but he knows how to offer women emotional and/or financial support, he’s never going to run out of women. In fact, it actually gets EASIER for guys to pull women if they’re seen as Sugar Daddies or marks that can be utilized for a payday. If you’re willing to play that role, you can be as old as you like and have a harem.. Ask Hugh Hefner.

Career

One of the worst problems for aging women is that they are brainwashed to date guys that have better careers than they do.

How many times have you heard some chick say she’d only date a guy that makes more money than she does? o_O

Now.. Think about how many times you’ve heard a guy say ANYTHING about a gal’s career that he’s dating……. Yeah.. Probably Never. That’s because nobody cares.

The guys that care about a woman’s career are looking for a payday. I mean, imagine going to a bar, meeting a FOYINE-ASS CHICK, kickin’ it with her for 20 minutes and then asking her what she does and she says she flips burgers at McDonald’s and then you’re like “WHAT??? :O .. AW HELLZ NAW!!!.. I can’t date *YOU*!!! :/”.

hahaha It’s not going to happen. Nobody cares. Her function is to look good and be a turn-on, not pay for stuff. If she can kick in ducats, fine. If she can’t?… FINE! :D

As people age and progress in their careers, this is going to make things harder for women and easier for men. Guys get richer and more prestigious and become even MORE ATTRACTIVE to women. SImultaneously.. Women get richer and more prestigious and raise the bar for guys that they’re willing to date, since they want to date guys that are doing better than they are.

The obvious problem with this is that the guys that are doing better than women with impressive careers aren’t looking for women with impressive careers. They’re looking for attractive chicks that are DSS or DTF.

The older guys get, the more DTF chicks are available to them. They make more every year. :D Whatever leverage Career-Women might have had back in the day is mostly gone and rapidly diminishing.

Age

The absolute worst problem for women in this scenario is that they’re brainwashed to date men older than they are.

The older women get, the older the guys are that they try to create relationships with. They don’t want to be called/labeled “Cougars” or Cradle-Robbers or whatever other bullshit has been conjured up to shame women into acting however men want them to.

Meanwhile, guys don’t care about that. Legal is Legal. If he’s 60 and she’s 30, it’s ON and POPPIN’!!! >:D

There are approximately ZERO 60-year-old dudes that are looking for 70-year-old women. Meanwhile, 60-year-old women that fell for the okey-doke are still playing the “Older than I am” game.

Same thing if you bring it down to the 40s. 40-year-old dudes are still dating college chicks. 40-year-old women are looking for 45-year-old dudes that aren’t looking for THEM! o_O

Solution

The obvious solution here is for successful women to Date Down.

Once y’all get past the point of needing a guy for financial support, you can do whatever you feel like doing.

Look at your girl, Demi Moore… People talked a lot of TRASH when she hooked up with Ashton Kutcher. You know what happened after that?… That’s right.. She enjoyed her life.. The only one she’s going to have.

There’s a lot of talk about “Independent Women”. You’re not independent if you’re still operating under your antiquated brainwashing.

“Independent” doesn’t mean “Free to choose the guy you’re dependent upon”. It means that you’re going to do whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it. It means that if you want to go to The Bahamas, you’re going to GO instead of waiting for a guy to take you.

It means that if you want to buy that sports car, you’re going to DO IT instead of waiting for a guy to buy it for you. If you want that apartment or house, you’re going to GET IT and make your life as fantastic as you want it to be.

It ALSO means that if you honestly feel, in your “heart of hearts” that you want to date a guy YOUNGER than you or BROKER than you or SHORTER than you or LESS PRESTIGIOUS than you or LESS FAMOUS than you, you’re going to go ahead and do that because this is *YOUR* life, not anyone else’s, and when it’s over, you have to look back on it and say “I went for MINE’Z!!!” instead of “I followed everyone’s rules about how I should act.. Where’s my prize? :O”.

People always want to know how to make money with social media.

The problem is that social media doesn’t make money FOR you. Social media ENABLES YOU to make money…. maybe.

Everybody wants to know how their sales are going to increase once they hire you to create a website or set them up with a presence on Facebook or Twitter.

In Fact… Your sales are NOT going to increase unless a) YOU know what to do with your own internet presence, or b) you HIRE SOMEONE ELSE that knows what they’re doing to handle that aspect of your business for you.

Buying Trophies

In contemplating social media strategies, you have to see yourself as the owner of a race car team and your goal is to win races, thus receiving trophies.

As the owner, you have to decide where you’re going to allocate your budget (money) so you achieve your desired outcome.

If you’re racing in a legitimate organization, you can’t BUY TROPHIES. If you could buy trophies, your competition would be able to buy them too and there would be no reason to run any of the actual races.

Similarly, in social media, you can’t BUY SUCCESS. If you could, everybody would pay some money, receive a positive ROI and there would be no need for professionals at any point of the process.

Unfortunately, this is how a lot of people sell social media to you. They know you know less than they do, so they give you useless tidbits of information and charge you handsomely for “consulting” with them. This is usually the best thing for them to do because if they told you what you REALLY needed to do to be successful with social media, THEY wouldn’t get very much of your money because most of them don’t’ have any of the technical skills necessary to actually DO any of that process for you.

Winning Races

In reality, you have to actually WIN RACES to receive trophies.

What’s the process involved in doing that? o_O

You get the trophy by winning the race

You win the race by finishing in first place

You finish the race by starting the race (driving)

You enter the race by having something to drive (a car)

You have a car and a driver because you spent MONEY on them

As you can see, you spend your money ENABLING yourself to potentially win. You don’t spend money directly on the WIN.

What does this look like in social media strategy?

The part that people TELL YOU is that you need a website and a Facebook account and a Twitter account. The part that they TELL YOU is that you want people to follow you and the more the merrier.

Budgeting Maintenance

The part that they DON’T TELL YOU is that they’re selling you a car, not a trophy. They’re selling you the ability to MAYBE win.. POSSIBLY…

They also don’t tell you that this isn’t a car show, it’s a race. If it were a car show, you could bring your car to the venue and potentially win a prize for “prettiest car”, or “best paint job”, or “best-built engine”… Being that this is a RACE, it means that you need a DRIVER. o_O

If you’ve already spent money on the car (website), someone has to drive it (maintain your presence). That’s either going to be YOU or someone you hire to maintain your online presence for you.

If you’re going to do it yourself, you’re going to have to spend HOURS each week interacting with customers and potential clients, reading blog posts, writing blog posts, updating your inventory on your site, searching the internet for positive and negative references to your company, checking your statistics to see which items and pages are the most popular and which aren’t doing well, reading and replying to emails, paying attention to the endless flow of twitter posts from the thousands of people you “followed” because some idiot told you to, fielding phone calls and returning voicemails from people that got your number from your website, reading and intelligently replying to comments you receive on your blog, keeping spam and other dumb comments out of your comment section, reading up on the latest technologies for maintaining your presence, spending time on trial & error with new and potentially exciting products…

Thanks For The Money

THIS is what they don’t tell you. They’re’ just like “Give me your money. Here’s your website. Peacebeyotch! :D”. This is why so many people have garbage internet presences, because nobody told them that after you make a blog, you have to populate it and constantly update it. Nobody told them that if you make a site where you’re selling products on the internet, you THEN have to spend your time advertising your product or you need to hire someone else to do that for you.

Nobody told them that if you make a Facebook page and then you don’t actively participate in conversations, you don’t build any rapport and you don’t make any sales. Nobody told them that they needed to participate in conversations that are important to OTHER PEOPLE and not just those that revolve around your being able to sell something and get some money.

Nobody told them that if you follow 3,000 people on Twitter, you’re going to have so many updates that you can’t possibly read all of them, much less contemplate them and reply to them. Guess what? :D .. If you can’t read everything from the 3,000 people you’re following, the people that are following 60,000 people don’t see what YOU WROTE either. o_O

Are You Qualified?

Even if you tried to maintain your own internet presence, how good are you at doing that? How good are you at socializing? How good are you at holding conversations with people? How good are you at SPELLING and GRAMMAR? HAHAHA How good are you at knowing which posts to weigh in on and which to leave alone? How good are you at finding out where people are talking about you or your company, what they’re saying and how you can respond to them? How much time do you have to monitor the internet and respond quickly, giving yourself the appearance of caring as opposed to the appearance of someone that built a car that they don’t know how to drive or built a store that they don’t have time to stock and maintain?

So.. Next time you’re thinking about incorporating social media into your business strategy, recognize that you have to budget not only to BUILD your site, but also to MAINTAIN it.

If you don’t have money to pay someone to maintain your site, either it’s not going to get done or you’re going to have to pay yourself to do it during time that you could have spent billing clients and making your money back.

Either way, nobody’s going to hand you a trophy because you got a website built or because you made a Facebook Fan Page or a Twitter account. That’s not where the work ends. That’s where the work starts.

<g:plusone size="tall" count="1" href="http://billcammack.com/2010/07/09/no-romance-without-finance/"></g:plusone>

A reader asked me a question the other day that pertained to my post “Hard To Get” vs “Expensive To Buy”. I’d like to clarify my position on dating & monetary exchanges…

The basic point of that post was that if a gal requires some kind of monetary exchange from a guy in order to give it up, she’s essentially a hooker. Sex for Money is Prostitution and there’s no way around that, purely by definition.

What happens is that the guy adds up the expenses he incurred while attempting to get on, and that becomes her “purchase price”, let’s call it. Buy her an expensive dress and you can get some. Take her out to three dinners and you can get some. She’s basically been reduced to a simple business transaction… “So long as I can afford X, she’ll give me Y”.

The solution to this for women is to make it clear that y’all are acting from your own personal power. You need to let a guy know that you hooked up with him because you wanted to and not because you accepted being bought.

Buying Sex

When I wrote that post, I was speaking specifically to the issue of gals that think they’re making themselves look good by holding out and then eventually giving it up. The problem with that style is how you’re perceived by that guy, going forward. If he thinks he bought you, once or several times, that’s a pretty terrible look for you.

The issue that was brought to my attention yesterday is that there are LOTS of guys for whom MONEY is their ONLY rap style. I hadn’t considered the situation from the viewpoint of a woman that’s *OFFERED* money, gifts, dinners, clothes, trips, etc because that’s that particular suitor’s style of wooing females and NOT because she requested any of these things from him before being willing to interact with him the way she genuinely wanted to from the first time she saw him.

This is a slightly complex situation which hinges upon the reason (in his own mind) why he’s spending money on her. He might consider himself doing her favors, as any guy might do for a gal he likes. He might consider himself building equity towards sex, like layaway. He might consider himself demonstrating to her that he can provide for her and offer her “the finer things in life” if she chooses to be his woman (and possibly fiancee or bride).

The other issue is how SHE feels about receiving money, items & favors from guys that are courting her. Some women like to pay their own way… ALL THE TIME. :D Some gals are used to the game and they know what’s probably coming down the line if they start accepting things from guys, which is “What can I get in return for all those goods & services I provided you? >:D”.

Perception Is Reality

Some women don’t want the time that they’re taking to get to know a guy and figure out if they want to mess with him to be perceived by him as the time it’s taking him to buy sex from her. Some gals like to demonstrate that they have careers too and they make money too and they want to come to the table as equals and not dependents.

As usual, I think communication is the key here. Gifts either need to be rejected with an “I appreciate that, but no thanks :)” or accepted while making sure that he understands that his gesture isn’t getting him any closer to getting laid.

That’s a tricky issue as well, obviously, because saying “Wow! :D .. This is GREAT, and you still can’t get any! :D” isn’t the best way to accept a gift.

Another thing that’s annoying, yet funny to me is guys that “Lead with their wallets” (statement credit: The Anh Vu Show). Instead of them having anything to say about themselves or even about *HER*, the first thing they want to tell chicks about is how much money they’re able to spend on her or what kinds of things they’ve already bought that she’ll be able to enjoy if she rolls with him. hahaha It’s *SO* Pathetic! :D

Countless times, I’ve overheard dudes telling chicks about their cars, boats, houses, expensive apartments, vacations they went on, salary and all other kinds of things that have NOTHING TO DO with one-on-one, interpersonal interactions, which, of course, are the essential *CORE* of dating. They’re basically saying “I know damned well that there’s nothing attractive about me as a person so maybe I can lure her in with these luxury items so she lays down for me anyway”.

Gimmicks & Bribery

Do I think dudes should use whatever gimmicks are available to them so they can get laid? Hellz Yah! :D … Do I think they should pull out the gimmicks *FIRST*? HELLZ NAW! :/ If you can’t get the rap off your looks, charisma & personality and the ship’s clearly sinking… *THEN* mention the Porsche & the yacht. Unfortunately, if that saves your rap, you know what kind of chick you have on your hands, so good luck with that.

A personal bias of mine, and I know this sounds funny as it potentially parallels how chicks are always clamoring for guys to want them for their minds or some other such ridiculousness, :D but I’m not really interested in chicks hanging around me so they can use me… for business purposes… so they can use me for business purposes… I have no problem with women using me if they run out of batteries for The Rabbit or The Butterfly… but I digress…

I’m not rich to begin with, but even if I were, I MOST CERTAINLY wouldn’t lead with my wallet because I’d rather have a chick come around because she wants to hang out with The Kid… Not because she knows she’s gonna be drinking for free or that she’s gonna meet a bunch of people that are actually DOING THINGS with their lives or she wants me to mix her new song or she wants to hang out with the cool kids and be all up in pictures & whatnot.

Then again.. If your wallet’s your last resort, it’s better to have that than to NOT have that. >:D

If the only way you’re going to get your hands on chicks is to bribe them, more power to ya and Good Luck with that. :D

Business Transactions

As you can tell, I’m not a strip club fan either. The concept of giving a chick money for showing you her body is ludicrous at best. Chicks are supposed to want to show you their bodies FOR. FREE!.. Which, I suppose, takes us back to my initial point.

I got the title for this post from this song called “Ain’t Nothing Going On But The Rent” by Gwen Guthrie.

This song was an hilarious reply to the common way guys would greet gals and try to talk to them by saying “What’s going on? :D”, to which she would reply “Ain’t *NOTHING* going on, but the rent! :D”. I’m laughing right now, just thinking about how upsetting this reply is! :D

Here are some of the lyrics:

Bill collector’s at my door – what can you do for me?

No romance without finance, no romance without finance

Boy, nothin’ in life is free
That’s why I’m asking you, what can you do for me?
I’ve got responsibilities
So I’m lookin’ for a man who’s got some money in his hand

‘Cause ain’t nothin’ goin’ on but the rent
You got to have a J.O.B. if you want to be with me

Boy, your silky words are sweet
But we’re only wastin’ time if your pockets are empty
I got lots of love to give
But I will have to avoid you if you’re unemployed

Oh, you look good to me, your silky words are sweet
But your pockets sure look empty

It’s like, ok.. I get it. You’re a ho, if not an actual professional hooker. I get it.

I also get that guys will use gals as much as they can for free, so I can’t hate on women that attempt to procure monetary compensation for agreeing to lay down for 5 minutes (or less) worth of sex before dude falls asleep on top of her.

What’s Real & What’s For Sale?

I think the WIN here for women is to make it clear that money & gifts aren’t influencing your decisions on whether you’re going to hook up with a guy or not.

Another WIN is making sure you understand HIS motivation for buying you stuff or giving you money or paying your phone bill or whatever.

He may very well be doing you a friendly favor. My friends and I buy each other rounds all the time… rounds of drinks, not ammunition.

It’s a social gesture that builds rapport and contributes to more of a “togetherness” feeling than if everyone’s paying for their own drinks.

OTOH, He may be keeping an accountant’s ledger of how much dough he’s spent on you, hoping that when he finally tells you what he really wants to do with you, you’ll feel too guilty from taking all those bribes to refuse his physical request.

Put it this way.. I’ve seen dudes drop $600 USD in one night in a strip club, buying 20-minute “Happy Ending” sessions in the back rooms. If you don’t think a dude will drop a couple hunnid to eventually (after several dates, shopping sprees or whatever) have you to himself for an entire evening, you’re mad.

There’s no amount of money that a guy can pay a gal to have sex with him that makes y’all look GOOD, so your best bet is to make it clear that money, gifts & special considerations don’t have ANY effect on your decision-making processes, whatsoever. If he’s clear on that and still wants to buy you stuff and you’re willing to receive it from him, good for you… Enjoy! :D

Trust & Believe that you’re way better off remaining broke (poor) and retaining his respect for you as well as your own self-respect than you will be if you have a couple more dresses in your closet or eat a couple of steaks and he thinks of you as ass for sale.
