Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump Debate #01 Review

Hillary won, but Trump didn’t lose.

Hillary Clinton won last night’s debate handily, but not by as much as she needed to.

People who are intelligent enough and well-read enough to understand what they were saying to each other are clear across the board that Hillary won.

Other people either don’t have the time or the interest to achieve this understanding, so for them, Trump wasn’t exposed as being incompetent, which is the only thing that might erode his base. Continue reading “Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump Debate #01 Review”

The Power You Don’t Have [Game of Thrones s06 e10 Finale]

Unless you have a ring that turns you invisible, leave dragons alone.

Delusional Peasants

The Game of Thrones season 06 finale was well-written.

The writers spoke to something that I’ve wanted to say for a long time, but didn’t have a concrete way to put it until I saw it play out in this episode.

This episode had instance after instance after instance after instance of people thinking they had power that they never had and finding out that they didn’t have that power.

This is where a lot of people trip themselves up IRL (In Real Life). They believe in the power they don’t have.

Part of this is because of the Loser Society that we’re currently experiencing.

Everybody wants to act like people are equals, when we are not.

Everybody wants to act like winners don’t get or even DESERVE more than losers.

So you have people who attempt to claim the spoils of the winners even though they’re actually losers.

When they see other losers such as themselves get away with this, they figure they can do it too and try their luck walking the tightrope between high-rise buildings.

Halfway across….. A gust of wind pushes them off the rope and they realize that they actually needed *SKILL* to do what they were trying to do without killing themselves.

Skill they don’t have.

Meanwhile, a lot of people are serfs who are allowed free reign over “their” land until their actions run afoul of what THE KING wanted them to do, and then they get wiped out, replaced, and more serfs work that land as if the first set was never there.

That easily-replaced set of serfs perceives themselves as kings because they think that they’re self-governing.

They’re approximately as autonomous as the fish in your fishbowl.

Sure.. All the fish have to do is swim around, eat fish food, play tag with each other, look at the humans on the other side of the glass… But the human is providing their entire world. The human paid for the tank. The human pays for the electricity that runs to the tank. The human buys the food. The human puts the food in the tank.

That same human, if properly provoked, will scoop you out of that bowl and flush you down the toilet. Continue reading “The Power You Don’t Have [Game of Thrones s06 e10 Finale]”

Tinder: Prep & Concepts

This is a totally new game and it’s time to learn how to play it efficiently.

Two months after writing Tinder: First Impressions, I’ve finally had the time and impetus to fill out my Tinder profile.

I live in Manhattan, so according to /www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/nyc-population/current-future-populations.page, as of July 2014, approximately 1,636,268 people live on this island, which means approximately 818,119 women within our 13 miles:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhattan – Although New York County is the United States’ second-smallest county by land area (behind only Kalawao County, Hawaii), it is also the country’s most densely populated county.[16] It is also one of the most densely populated areas in the world, with a census-estimated 2014 population of 1,636,268[1] living in a land area of 22.83 square miles (59.13 km2),[17] or 71,672 residents per square mile (27,673/km2). On business days, the influx of commuters increases that number to over 3.9 million,[18] or more than 170,000 people per square mile (65,600/km2). Continue reading “Tinder: Prep & Concepts”

Being Like Me Isn’t Like Being Me [HoC S01EP06-S02EP02]

Even if you fully understand what I’m doing.. Which you don’t, because nobody told you.. That doesn’t mean that YOU can do the same thing and achieve anywhere near the same results.

So now I’ve made it through Episode 02 of Season 02 of House of Cards.

In our previous discussion, billcammack.com/2016/03/11/house-cards-season-01-ep01-ep05 I mentioned how they were writing for the long game. I also mentioned what I had thought was going to happen to the hooker in Bald Guy’s car, which didn’t happen….. And then it happened to a totally different character, which I personally saw coming from a mile away, but was still brilliant writing by the HoC staff, and I’m sure it caught people who don’t edit television shows totally by surprise.

The short version is that someone who was being trained in the arts thought they had graduated when she had not, and she paid for that gross miscalculation with her life.

These episodes also continued the (annoying to me, but probably prevalent in real life) show’s theme of people assigning importance, relevance, and power to themselves that doesn’t exist now and never existed to begin with.

Tantrums. People puffing their chests out and proclaiming what they are and aren’t going to do. Blah Blah Blah until the bored dragon decides to breathe fire and turn them into bacon faster than seeing Medusa. Continue reading “Being Like Me Isn’t Like Being Me [HoC S01EP06-S02EP02]”

House of Cards – Season 01 Ep01-EP05

Spacey knows whether or not you’re even a brick in the wall… And even if you are… Who talks to bricks? \o/

I didn’t think I was going to enjoy House of Cards AT ALL, so I’ve just gotten around to watching it.

Of course Kevin Spacey always puts in WORK, but the topic was so boring that I just couldn’t see being interested in the series.

I think the only thing I heard about it was people gasping and being all shocked about some scene with a dog.

So yesterday I started watching it and almost turned it off halfway through the first episode.

I decided to give it a chance and it probably took until near the end of the 2nd episode for me to appreciate the type of writing they’re doing. Continue reading “House of Cards – Season 01 Ep01-EP05”

Tinder: First Impressions

Pretending that people aren’t addicted to this hot-or-not turned dating app situation isn’t efficient anymore.

The best part of the Tinder dating app is when they stamp “Nope” on the chick before whisking her off your screen! 😀 hahaha I think I laugh at that or at least smile every time! 😀 hahaha oh man

Knowledge Changes

Tinder: First Impressions
For those’a youse that have been reading along over the years, you’re aware that I’m anti- dating apps.

For someone that is actually used to getting girls, scrolling through pictures on a phone doesn’t make any sense and it isn’t fun and it isn’t interesting. *YAWN*

However, having spoken to a few people and read a few articles about the situation, I realize that dating app presence may be the most efficient style at this point, simply due to the population’s dependence on it.

It’s like how people drink so much coffee but don’t want to admit that they’re addicts just like any other drug addict.

I don’t touch coffee, except an infrequent espresso, because I hate the taste. I’ve also never smoked a cigarette in my life. I drink a lot of beer.

So pretending like people aren’t addicted to coffee wouldn’t be the most efficient way for me to interact with them.

Similarly.. Pretending that people aren’t addicted to this hot-or-not turned dating app situation isn’t efficient anymore. Continue reading “Tinder: First Impressions”

CNBC’s “The Profit” Episode 315 Review

This week, “The Profit” went the way it usually does… Some dude started crying and then Marcus needed to psychoanalyze him.

This week, “The Profit” went the way it usually does… Some dude started crying and then Marcus needed to psychoanalyze him.

Granted, as a video editor (who has nothing to do with this show), I’m fully aware that people can be made to look crazy by how you arrange the footage. 😀 .. At one point in this episode, someone was speaking to Marcus, but when the camera cuts to where Marcus is supposed to be listening, his mouth is moving and we can’t hear him saying anything at all, so that was clearly some footage they just threw in there for effect.

Having said that, you could tell there was something wrong with the dude from how his business was being improperly run and what his actions were and were not when Marcus told him how to do things the right way. Continue reading “CNBC’s “The Profit” Episode 315 Review”

“Game Change” Review [Part 01 of 02]

“Game Change” is an HBO film about Sarah Palin that was based on a book that was written by the dude that called President Obama a dick on national television:

What It Is

“Game Change” is an HBO film about Sarah Palin that was based on a book that was written by the dude that called President Obama a dick on national television:

YouTube Link => youtu.be/449FGJwDQRY

According to the interviews I’ve seen, the book is actually about both the Democrat and Republican races in 2008, but since they had to condense it to a 2-hour movie, they elected to focus on the Palin angle.

Also according to video footage I’ve seen, both Palin and John McCain have denounced the film, even though neither had seen it at the time of their interviews, but that makes sense if they weren’t personally consulted about the script and the potential authenticity (or not) of the book it was based on. Jersey Snore

I hadn’t thought it could get any worse, but last night’s Jersey Shore” was a complete waste of time. Apparently, it was a bunch of extra footage they had laying around that they decided to waste 44-minutes-plus-commercials’ worth of our time with. It was as if the production company delivered 11 episodes to MTV and then found out they were actually responsible for 12.

Bleech. :/

Nothing important happened at all. Here are the status updates:

Ronnie: Burned dinner so he had to go food shopping.
Sammi: Did nothing, because her entire life is Ronnie.
Jenni: Did nothing, because her entire life is her boyfriend.
Vinny: Made several statements about how much he likes Pauly.
Pauly: Made several statements about how much he likes Vinny.
Deena: Threw sex at Pauly, who instead hung out in bed with Vinny.
Nicole: Told her “boyfriend” that right after they got off the phone, she screwed Vinny.
Mike: Talked a lot of yang to people that signed releases for MTV to show their faces as they argued with him across crowded rooms of people with several bouncers and MTV security guards standing between them.

What a waste of time. Continue reading “Jersey Snore”

“Jersey Shore” Italy: Double Header

They aired two episodes of Jersey Shore this week, so there’s a lot to cover today.

If I miss anything or you want to discuss a particular topic, leave a comment below or find the thread on Facebook or Google+.

Virgins Are Useful

We ended last episode with the Jersey Shore housemates bagging a couple of chicks… To be specific.. The one chick that Mike’s been able to pull since he’s been in Italy, this American chick (of all people to meet in Italy), just so happens to have a twin sister. Mike had had plans of hooking up with the both of them until Deena pulled the robbery on him and started making out with the extra twin.

Before this happened, the extra twin had announced that she’s a virgin, which we all know means absolutely nothing, because nobody’s going to take your word for something like that. We just go “yeah, yeah, yeah” and then see what happens when we get back to the crib. Continue reading ““Jersey Shore” Italy: Double Header”
